I can, if you're willing to listen to me talk about my thesis for two hours.

:P

Wow, those admins are a real exciting bunch. Anyone change their mind about meeting us, yet? Heh.

A, whatever you pick to hide behind on Friday, make sure it's tall enough to hide me as well.-jay

Does the grill y'all are going to have wireless internet? If so, can anyone connect to the chatbane while there? Some of us could sort of take part virtually that way...

That's not a bad idea, I could take my laptop, but MSN would probably be better than the dreaded chatbane.

Doesn't look like the place itself has wireless, but there may be a signal in the area that you could pick up. There are several places in Arlington that have free wi-fi, but I don't know how close they are to Clarendon Grill, or how much signal spillover there is.

And y'all are meeting around 6:00 EDT? So if I come online around 7:00 EDT there's a possibility someone at the IRL will be online?

Meeting between 7 and 7:30. It's possible, but I wouldn't set a clock by it. :( I think Recluce would know better, having been there before...

Kewl, we're good to go!

But, keep in mind y'all are there to be in each others IRL company. I can generate an AIM buddy chat if we see each other for others to join in, but we can chat via computer anytime.

It would be nice to say hello to everyone there though!

My good camera has died, a friend was kind enough to loan to me her 3.1mp but I won't be able to do anything fancy with it, so someone else should bring their camera also.

Thanks for the warning...er, reminder, about bringing a camera. I'm going to come home and pick up the car tomorrow night before heading over, so I'll attempt to remember to bring my camera as well.

My kids just offered to leave me a note to remind me. I'll bring the note along -- I'm sure it will be highly amusing (and definitely insulting -- to me). BTW, Oldest Daughter is 3/4 through LFB. Tonight, she said to me: "Can I just kill Covenant?!?" :haha:

i brought MY camera and i WILL be using it!!

well...i'm HERE!!! can you say NINETY FOUR FREAKIN DEGREES?????
(i don't even wanna know what the humidity is!)

phew!! well, i'm firmly ensconced in my semi-cheesey hotel!! it's good, i like it, it suits me. i'm walking distance from a Whole Foods where i got a curry chicken wrap and some evil whole foods chocolate cookie-like thingys for dinner. i was pretty tire when i got here having gotten up at TWO THIRTY A.M. to be picked up by supershuttle at 4 a.m. to make my 6 a.m. flight. so i napped for a couple of hours...went out and found the Whole Foods...and have had some coffee so i'm now about to go out and cruise my hood and see whaddup!!

it's FABULOUS to be back in the South...dAN argues that i am in the North and i guess to HIM i AM...but i gotta tell ya...if FEELS like the South to me!! and the heat DIDN'T kill me like i thought it would!! yay!!

i spoke with Recluce earlier and am going to do a bit of scouting around tomorrow on my own. probably go to the Vietnam Memorial first off. i must commune with the Fallen.

i am so happy to be here and am so looking forward to our get together!!

warning: everytime i see something FAMOUS like the Washington Monument or something, i tend to squeal.

am having a great time so far!! can't wait for dlb and danlo to arrive!!!

woooo hooooo!!! Lucimay Goes to Washington!!! :yeehaa:

i'm gonna go over the the F B I and tell them the truth is out there!!! buuuuuuwaaaaaahhhh!!!!

Hey! Just about to jump in rental and bomb on down to DC. Traveled from 6am to 4pm with a very boring 3 hour layover at Denver--read alot of good Sci-Fi short stories though. Took 2 hours to get to Hastings as we got stuck in traffic jam. We had the misfortune of going past Shea Stadium as the Mets game got out.

Watched my niece, Lydia, play in an allstar softball game, then had gobs of Italian food with my sis, bro-in-law, Lydia and two nephews. Wiped out this morning and contusions still hurting a bit but nothing will stop me! See you soon!
fall far and well Pilots!
