heheh, I have always been interested in the nature/source/growth of creativity and 'artistic' talent. So, whenever I have an ear, I poke. I have bothered Mr. Donaldson a number of times with questinos like this. I am facinated by what people, whose talent I admire, have to say about it, especially their own source.
Most of the artists I respect seem to say the same thing, (over-simply) that it springs from a mysterious antenna in their mind (heart) that picks up things from (unconcious) sourses and turns them into something personal. Why people like this get ideas is something of a mystery; "where did that come from?" is often heard from such individuals, but they often don't question it, instead just allow themselves to be carried along by it to its creative conclusion. (self)Examination usually comes after.
Bowie, Goya and others I respect often talk like this...

Perhaps I'll post a question like that ...
;)

Michael Hand: I have been a major fan ever since first picking up Lord Fouls Bane, and have read the first and second chronicles countless times. I was ecstatic to hear of the release of the first book in the last chronicles.

I am perturbed, however, about the release date of the last book in the 'Last Chronicles'. On www.kevinswatch.com, the release date for 'The Last Dark' is shown as 2013.

According to the Mayan prophecies the world is going to end in December 2012 which means we are all going to miss out on the last book.

Would it be possible for you to have the series complete so we can all read the conclusion before the end of the world?

It's possible that "human error" has led to a few small miscalculations about when the end of the world will actually occur. I see no reason to believe that the publication of "The Last Dark" won't coincide exactly with (or even cause) the end of the world. <grin>

:haha:

Now this is funny!!!! :haha:
And I believe in you
altho you never asked me too
I will remember you
and what life put you thru.

~this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you~

...for then I could fly away and be at rest. Sweet rest, Mom. We all love and miss you.

Oh, sorry Alynna. Perhaps we're talking about two different things here.

I'm assuming that I know what you're talking about (well what you're all "snickering" and "finger tapping" about). But perhaps what I know isn't what you know. So I'll leave it at that. :D

Heh, he might say something, or he may not. LOL, now I'm curious about what you know. May be the same thing, may not be - but I don't want to give anything away. 8)

That's it.

I'm coming out of lurk mode on this trip thing to call you all vile miscreants! ( )

I almost went on this stupid trip. But when I imagined how I would explain it to my wife, it just sounded so over-the-top fan-cultish even I thought I was crazy. So I didn't.

Now you're making me regret it, you evil ****ards. Cuz I can predict what you're going to tell me. And you're teasing!!

STOMP STOMP STOMP.

Humph!
