You can draw parallels to Damelon's Door and the approach to Earthroot."This the Elohim name the maidan of Elemesnedene. At its center lies the clachan itself, the spring and fountain of the Callowwail. But that clachan we will never find without the guidance of the Elohim. If they do not choose to meet us, we will wander the maidan as it were a maze, and there we will leave our bones to nourish the grass."
In the quest for the Earthblood, Elena and Covenant needed the guidance of Amok to access that manifestation of Earthpower through the portal of Damelon's Door. The grassy area is known as the maidan of Elemesnede, while the fountain in its midst has the ability to translocate visitors to the clachan of the Elohim. Maidan is defined as the open area around a town, while clachan is the town itself. These are only figurative in the case of Elemesnedene, however the fountain acts only as a point of metaphysical transfer to reach the actual clachan - that part of Elemesnedene physically occupied by the Elohim.
The clachan appears like a wonderland, but its features are manifestations of the Elohim. Once the Elohimleave, the area becomes a "vaguely undulating emptiness under a moonstone sky... as barren and sterile as a desert."
I love these kinds of ideas!!!Infelice wrote:Maybe the Earthpower existed separate from the Land and the Earth in this other "dimension" before the Arch Of Time and the Creator used this energy to cause The Land's existence and planted these portals as a way of ensuring that there was some way for the inhabitants to maintain his creation and combat Fouls attempts to corrupt it.
