I visit quite a lot of online forums, so I think I'll fit in just fine here, although I mainly visit forums with a high emphasis on going OT and general chatter.

Obviously I have a great love for SRD's work. I've read the first and second chronicles of TC, as well as Runes, and I can safely say that these books probably mean more to me than anything I have read. So far I've not read any of the GAP series, but its only a matter of time.

I'm 16 by the way, probably quite young compared to the average age of the forum. But nevertheless I think I'll make a valuable member. I'm English, also (just like hugh laurie).

Questions for mods/CL's:

1. How strict is the moderation in the General Topic forum?

2. Could you break down the ranking system you have? What requirements are needed to increase your member status etc.

Also feel free to flame/question me, I'm resiliant.

Moderation is by the honor system, which works because people are honorable. Be nice, and no one will reprimand you. Make a mistake, and you'll receive a gentle reminder.

The ranking system is based on number of posts. Don't get caught up in that crazy competition!

Don't worry I won't start spamming. The honor system sounds fair yet general which I like. Too strict moderation is never fun.

That doesn't mean I'm about to start acting like a raging dickhead, btw.

While everything Wayfriend said was "technically" true, I'd like to addendum it...

Moderation is by whim. Members come, and members get banned and no one really knows why. It's like a game. We live in fear around here that jay or someone else will get pissy one day and just start beating us with the ban stick.*

While there is a ranking system by post count, you can also change the little title thing below your name by editing your profile. Make it something witty and people will like you more.

Other rules (that you won't find anywhere else):

Do anything that Luci tells you.
Do the oppostie of anything dAN tells you.
For the record, I'm not dAN.
Nor is anyone else on the Watch, except dAN.
Don't get in an argument with Avatar, he'll win.
Send me all your money.
Post count = respect.**

What??? How dare you question me???

Anyway, we don't have real strict rules or moderation here. In general, as long as you respect everyone else, you're pretty much free to do what you want. But try not to spam or double post too much.

I think right now the minimum number of posts needed to change your rank is set to 25 or 50. But I may change that if people complain about it enough to me, heh.

And don't worry, we go off topic in practically every thread.

And yes, I'm an admin, and I'm a huge pushover. So feel free to abuse me. Everyone else does. Heh.
