Candy Apple Turnover – A flaky turnover, filled with apples, crushed red candy and brown sugar, is deep fried and topped with powdered sugar. (Granny's Funnel Cakes - Gateway Plaza)

Alton Brown made deep fried Mac & Cheese on a recent episode of Good Eats. If Alton calls it Good Eats, I'd be willing to try it. :)

In my opinion, a lot of that food listed above could easily be called heart-attack-on-a-stick. :lol:

Dunno about gator, but I've eaten crocodile, and it's nothing special. White meat, the sauce is what makes it, as is so often the case.

Living in Gator Town like I do, I've had gator tid-bits. I would say it tastes more like snake meat than chicken...

Eh. . . you know how people say *everything* tastes like chicken. ;) We have a restaurant here that serves unique seafood, and I think gator tail is one of them. . . hold on. . I'll go find a link for it.

By the way, I live really close to Springfield. Missouri. . . home to BassPro Outdoor World. Inside that is Hemmingway's Blue Water Cafe. . . ah, here we go. www.hemingwaysbluewatercafe.com/ This is the place you can get aligator tail for $7.49 as an appetizer. :)

seafood is yummy. strange for a New Englander but I tried clam chowder for the first time yesterday. enjoyed it much.
