On a serious note though: regardless of whether he comes and goes on a regular basis he has good reason to need space at the moment so I'm sending him lots of love and good vibes, and hoping everything that's going on in his life works out for the best!

I am in no way impugning your friendship with him. . . nor am I am claiming to be anything but a bystander here. As a new person, a bystander, it certainly looked less like a caring gesture of friendship to debate the veracity of his stated reason for leaving, and more like an opportunity to kick him a little when he wasn't here to defend himself. And as I said before, I don't know any of you well enough to claim to have rights of familiarity as far as jokes and such go. But personally, if I had made post here about being gone, I would not want other people joking about it.

Now I've given my opinion, and you can take it or leave it. :D I'm truly not trying to start trouble or get into a pissing contest about who is better friends with whom. It's just a friendly reminder that not everyone will see the world the same way you do. :)

Seriously though, no worries. I for one thought it was a nice, well-meant gesture on your behalf, and I have no doubt LoreMaster appreciates it too.

We sometimes forget that the often unusual (especially where dAN is involved... ;) ) dynamics of this place aren't readily apparent to folks who are only just getting used to us.
