I've read most of Neil Gaiman's books by now, and I have to say I really like the author. I've gone through American Gods, Anansi Boys, Stardust, Neverwhere, Smoke and Mirrors... and the stories he tells are always fascinating and strange, in a way few other authors manage to achieve, as far as I can say. Now I found out they're making a movie out of Stardust, which should be released in 2007!

Like his writing, although of course I know him more for the Sandman comics, and his collaboration with Terry Pratchett in Good Omens, both of which I thoroughly enjoyed.

I've read and enjoyed Neverwhere, but people keep telling me it's not that good.

I found Neverwhere to be excellent. and if any wants to read Sandman, most of it is collected in trade paperback.

I've read American Gods, Sandman stuff and Good Omens. I've also read a couple short stories in sci-fi/fantasy anthologies. His subject matter appeals to me and I really enjoy his slightly stark writing style.

Xar, was Anansi boys as good as American Gods? American Gods was great--I thought he did a good job blending the various myths and old gods into modern america.

Anansi Boys is another story entirely... the only link is Mr. Nancy, but Anansi Boys is not as "epic" in scope as American Gods. It's good, though, and it still deals with the forces of myth, only in a more focused manner. It's hard to explain exactly how without giving away the plot, but suffice to say I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Thanks Xar. I intended to read it eventually, but hearing a positive review from another Gaiman fan only convinces me to pick it up much sooner .

I particularly enjoyed the book of short stories Angels and Visitations. I still laugh to think of the story Chivalry.

I've meant to read Neverwhere, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Maybe one day.

I have enjoyed everything I have read by Gaiman. And that would include (among other things) both Neverwhere and Anansi Boys, for those wondering about those two books.

Really like him, though I have to admit I've only read 4 of the Sandman stories (plus the one he did with Yoshi... something Amano), American Gods and Good Omens. Oh, and Coraline.
