In exactly 16 days from right now I will be in Singapore, enroute to Frankfurt where I will begin a 3 month long job scouting/extended holiday in the land of milk, honey and belgian waffles.

The tension and excitement is mounting.

It's a great day. The sun's shining and it will be warm for this time of year in northern Illinois, 57 F, 13 C. I think it's a fine idea to take a walk in the park.

Safe traveling!

I feel very, very good. I had a nice holiday with my family, and got to return home for a few days to rest before going back to work. Also the weather is very nice here. . it was 62 degrees out the last time I looked. :)

Anyhow, I am enjoying this good mood. :D

Pleased that my blog is back up and running (in a way).
Disappointed that my formerly pretty good theme for said blog is now marred by the original creator's bad ideas (I can't edit the files any more, since themes are hosted centrally on wordpress.com).

Well, I was feeling crap but then I chatted with my friend Quentin Tarantino online and he cheered me up. Quentin Tarantino is so great when it comes making you smile. Also, he invited me the premier of his new movie which is kewl. I love that I am Quentin Tarantino's friend.

Well, I've finally shaken the flu BUT (there's always a but):

Tonight while washing some glasses I managed to cut the crap the back of out of my hand. Wasn't looking at what I was washing which included a glass which was broken. Put my hand in with the scrubber to clean the inside of the glass, twisted my hand and...well...it's a feckin' mess (not deep enough to need stitches...don't think they could have stitched where it is anyway...but just a lovely huge chunkey gorey flap of skin).

I must have ticked off some higher being at some stage coz if it's not one thing it's something else!

And that's about it...

Luci, hope the flu doesn't leave you feeling too miserable for too long!!!

 Hierachy and I were just discussing this, and we're in agreement. The reason for all this procrastination is because I know I can do it; actually writing the damn things is just a formality and a waste of my time.

I feel bad because I'm not Quentin Tarantino's friend.... ;)

I also feel like I have to spend the rest of the day with family. I don't know how I feel about that. :?

I'd also like to know when I became Vain's Minion!

Update on how I feel:

Like shit, cause my car was stolen last night. I think I could kill right now. My car is my love.

If there is any way to find out who did it, if we find it... there is going to be violence.

Not had the best of weeks. My wife had to fly back to Cape Town, as her mother is dying of secondary liver cancer. Her liver gave in this week, so it's just a matter of time before she passes away.
So I'm here with my 1 and 2 year olds, who are missing their mum, just waiting to hear the inevitable news that my wifes mum has died.

We were there in the Spring, and she was looking quite well - so it's taken hold quickly - the one consolation (if there can be one) is that she is not in pain.

Don't really know what else to say.

That's so sad. I am glad at least that your wife is able to be there for her Mom. Take some consolation that her passing will be eased by the love and presence of her daughter. My heart goes out to you and your family and I am sending you mental hugs and strength as I am sure many others are as well.

Wadds, did they find your car yet?

Luci, sorry you have the flu, lots of fluids and sleep.
