For me, it gets better with each re-read, too.

Hello!

I agree with the others, it really does get better with every read.

I'm sure I noticed things I hadn't before.

My last re-read (3rd time all the way through) was peppered with "How did I miss that?" moments.

I enjoyed the chrons more the second time as well. I think its because the first time I read them for like 5 hours straight, until 1.30 in the morning. Which was fun, but meant I missed alot too!
She looked like a crowned vestal, somehow both powerful and fragile, as if she could shatter his bones with a glance and yet would fall from her seat at the touch of a single hurled handful of mud. She daunted him.

Yep, same here. I am on my second run of the series mid-way through LFB. Freaking great stuff. I must admit though, I am not looking forward to Linden. I find that since I know how the story goes, when I read things about Elohim & the Creator in LFB I really pay attention more than I did the first time.
It was the fetid halitus of the most diseased mortality condensed to its essence and elevated to the transcendence of prophecy, promise, suzerain truth—the definitive commandment of darkness.

Interesting ... I remember the same dread on my second read of the second chronicles. I particularly dreaded doing Linden's flashbacks with her parents. It was too ... uncomfortable. But I grew out of it over time; reading the Gap series made Linden's parents seem mild.

Way back when, I read the first 3 books all the way through a couple times, then shelved them. A few years later, I saw TWL was coming out, so I re-read them.

Then as each next book came out, I re-read the series from the start. About five years ago, I re-read the whole first 2 series again... and then again just prior to Runes release.

I'm not sure I'll have time for a full series re-read before this October, but I'll re-read Runes for sure by then :)
