Dear God. As if the rest of the world doesn't make enough fun of us.

"Men and women range themselves into three classes or orders of intelligence; you can tell the lowest class by their habit of always talking about persons; the next by the fact that their habit is always to converse about things; the highest by their preference for the discussion of ideas." - Charles Stewart

"I believe there are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations." - James Madison

Don't feel bad man. In a recent survey, one in six British Schoolchildren could not name Churchill as Britains PM during WWII. According to the Chuirchill Centre, 4% actually named Hitler. ;)

I had a professor at my undergrad university named Anders Henriksson. He was more than a little nuts but had a great sense of humor. His specialty was Russian history but he taught a few low-level generalist courses as well. Anyhow, he began recorded stupid and funny answers and published them. Some are hilarous.

They're on Amazon
"We do not follow maps to buried treasure, and remember:X never, ever, marks the spot."
- Professor Henry Jones Jr.

"Hither came Conan, the Cimmerian, black-haired, sullen-eyed, sword in hand, a thief, a reaver, a slayer, with gigantic melancholies and gigantic mirth, to tread the jeweled thrones of the Earth under his sandalled feet."

I made the mistake of watching a few minutes of that show accidentally.

It's as bad as it sounds.

Now, I don't think the show is quite as much testament to how retarded we are (although there are plenty of stupid people out there) as it is a testament to how stupid the entertainment and media industry thinks we are. As well as proof that people are really, really, really running out of ideas for new shows.
