I predict the title will change again.

The more I think about it, the more I like it.

The only thing that bothers me is that it sounds too much like the title of some cheesy romance novel. Heh.

However, it is an interesting title. Better than most of the other crap that fantasy authors come up with for titles. (For example, all of those horrible madlibish "The Adjective Noun" combinations that people like Jordan love to use.)

The title does leave for some interesting speculation, since it's so open ended.

Ok, I'm convinced. I like it. Two thumbs up.

Heh, now if only the other three books in this series could have cool titles.

But yeah, Shall Pass Utterly was still the best. It's amazing how many people prefer that title.-jay

What made "Shall Pass Utterly" so great was because we all knew where it came from.

Haha, yeah. Like I said, I don't think any of the other titles for the Last Chronicles are great. Especially Last Dark.

Even "The Last Dark" can be referenced back to WGW.

At least it isn't Lucas thinking of the titles. Otherwise, we would have:

The Caesure Menace.

Attack of the Demondim.

The Revenge of the Despiser.

And, The Death Star Blows Up the Land.

If you made words out of all the acronyms for all the books in the last chrons, you would get these:

Alterate, Tolerate, Deflate, Deferral, Deflate

Yes I'm bored.

I quite like it, not as good as ''Shal'' but still. AATE - rubbish acroynm though, nowhere near as good as WGW LFB TOT etc.
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

I like this title better than the previous ones. It reminds me of TPTP, and that can only be good.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

*sigh*

Stephen, Stephen, Stephen...

But hey, at least it's a bit more optomistic, eh? It's against all things ending, after all.

Damn, I really liked Shall Pass Utterly. :(

As long as SRD puts words to paper, it is good, and does nothing to screw with the first two crons (it was all a dream etc.....), Mr Donaldson could call it 'Land Go Bye Bye', or 'The Last Book' for all I care.

Well...I like it. But, as Av says, "it's not like we're not gonna read". I'll be reading it regardless of what it's called!

true.

However, even though I did like Shall Pass Utterly a lot, I do find a certain quiet poetic in the new title.
So, I agree with Waddley on this one.
I like it.

Let's say it together... perhaps it will grow on you...
Against All Things Ending

there. Wasn't that better...

We could just call it "The Book Formerly Known as Shall Pass Utterly."
