NEW EARLY STAR TREK XI CASTING INFORMATION/RUMORS

This sounds interesting. Matt Damon, Adrien Brody and Gary Sinise?
Kirk, Spock and McCoy? Hmmm....there are worse ideas to be sure but it makes you think. That is a crap load of star power. Star Trek has traditionally created stars out of relatively unknown actors. This would be switch. Maybe that is what Star Trek needs to get itself kicked back into motion. A film that isn't as interested in furthering an established storyline as it is trying to be a very good original film in its own right. I don't want to get my hopes up too high but its possible Star Trek could explode back into prominence or...no I don't want to imagine what it would be like if Star Trek XI turned out to be a giant stinking turd. We'd never see another second of new Trek in our lifetimes.

Part of me feels the same way dlbpharmd. But there is another part of me that thinks that if Star Trek really is dead then there is no harm in letting the corpse cough up one last glump of phlegm before they officially nail the coffin shut. What is the harm? We'll just not watch it the way we stayed away in droves when Nemesis came out. Or the way we looked in on Enterprise just long enough to be offended by the lack of respect the series had for our love of what had gone before.
Sometimes a heroic resurrection results in something amazing. Then again sometimes you end up with something ghastly, an undead monster that is coming for you and your children.

I'm amazed that I still haven't seen Nemesis. Kinda proud of myself; kinda sad...

Yeah aTOMic, if its dead its dead. Defiling corpses, while not something I'd enjoy, doesn't hurt the corpse any more at least.

It wasn't that bad, you know.....sure, it's no Wrath of Kahn, but it's also no Final Frontier.

I'm afraid there's no denying
