Preheat oven to 400ºF
Place bacon flat on rack in jelly roll pan
Put in preheated oven and bake for 10 to 20 minutes, depending on preferred doneness

YUMMMM...

Now, get thee back to Gravin Threndor!!

I used to fry my bacon, until I discovered oven baking is cleaner and tastes better.

Grill, bake, deep fry - who cares!?
As long as it goes in a sandwich!

i love my Kitchen Aid Mixmaster. i wanted one ever since i was a kid, as i have always enjoyed cooking. when i was finally able to afford one about 10 years ago, they cost about $250 for the base model, i was thrilled. they are not only great for mixing any sort of batter, dough, fondant, divinity, etc., or whipping cream, there are food processor, pasta maker, ice-cream maker, and food/meat grinder attachments as well. all of this and built like a tank, solid as a rock, and as well made and dependable as they are i will be in the grave while my MixMaster is still going strong.

I also love my Kitchen Aid stand mixer. I love to bake and am usually called upon to supply the desserts at parties. At this point I only have the three basic attachments but I may pick up a few more over time.

I just received a mandolin last night for my birthday. I have yet to use it but have always wanted one and am now thinking of ways to use it. Anyone else have this lovely little gadget?

I have the food grinder and the extruded pasta plates that can go in it. I love grinding my own meat with the food grinder, but I so want the pasta roller over the etrusion plates.

Not yet, but I would love to try one.

And belated happy birthday!

Since microwaves don't count in this thread, my next favorite small appliance would be my electric kettle, then my coffeemaker. Mind you, these three mentioned items are all the small appliances I have.

Maybe when I have the willpower to actually cook involving actual recipes, I'll go invest in some fancy thing like that Kitchen Aid mixer everyone's talking about.
