The Magnificent 7 reminds me of The Wild Bunch.
EDIT-Not because they're similar...just that Magnificent 7 makes me think of the Dirty Dozen and then I make the connect to the Wild Bunch, even though Dirty Dozen isn't a western.

I think that Tombstone is probably one of the best westerns made.
But I also like...
Pale Rider
Shane
Stagecoach
Unforgiven
The Sackets
The Long Riders
The Wild Bunch
The Shootist

Didn't care for Wyatt Earp. Probably because Kurt Russell did so well with the character in Tombstone.
And I really can't say enough about how good Tombstone is. I was a western fan long before that movie came out, but I think it's just about perfect. One of my favorite films of any genre.

Absolutely. Val's portrayal of Doc was the performance of a lifetime, and elevated a good movie to a classic.

I'm not a huge Western fan but Butch Cassidy is probably my favourite movie of all time. I havn't seen a lot of those on your list.
I liked Open Range. Some of it's quite drab but there are a number of great scenes.

It'd take you a long time to blow up or shoot all the sheep in this country, but one diseased banana...could kill 'em all.
I didn't even know sheep ate bananas.
