TRIP REPORT!!

On my way from DC to NY by train. Accela that travels at speeds up to 100mph I think. I decided to upgrade to First (personal expense - only $87) to see what it is like.

Sorta like First Class in an airplane. All the alchohol is FREE!!

And warm deluxe nuts! And snacks. Best thing is POWER and my Broadband card works!!

So, I've kicked off my shoes, am listening to my MP3's (Dirty Water is playing now! - BOSTON you're my home!!! YEAH!!) [Ok, so I've had some wine!

And I can work too ...

SO ... all-in-all feeling pretty good!!!

Awesome, Creator. Wish I was traveling right now. Would love to lose myself on transportation systems, new sights, sounds, centers of mass and movement... Well, at least it's sunny and 70 degrees up here in NE Georgia.

I had a MASSIVE row with my gf. We never row. It's weird, I get the feeling that something has changed between us but I also feel like I'm exactly the same as I've always been. I've been thinking this for months. I have no idea how to make things right 'cos I don't know what's gone wrong. I've been trying to keep myself as busy as possible to avoid thinking too much about the whole thing. My sleep patterns have been shot to pieces because I've been working at least 2 or 3 nights a week and when I do sleep it's fitfull. This has to be the worst I have felt, EVER!

The only way you'll know whats up with the ol' lady is to ask. Just be sure to be quick on your toes if she throws out "Don't YOU know!?"

Talk it out. Ask her how she is feeling. Does she feel any different? Relationships are a challenge and work ... but the best ones are worth it - many times over. Open and honest communication are keys.

I hope things get better for you.

Thanks for the advice and the concern, boys.

The thing is, I've told her how I feel and she's been a bit dismissive. She thinks I'm being melodramatic and nothing's changed. I know something has changed.

You hear about people that have been together for years who just sort of go through the motions. I would just hate for this to be the first signs of us drifting apart. We have been together for nearly 5 years now so who knows. Bugger!

Honestly, I think she is. Just little things, y'know. It probably all seems quite trivial, but she just seems to want to spend less time with me nowadays. It's like she wants to do the bare minimum. A lot of the things that made us so close she doesn't do anymore. At the risk of sounding unbearably cliched it seems as though the spark has gone. I'm hoping it's just a phase because I'll be royaly messed up if this whole thing goes bad.

I'm inclined to agree. And I'm more terrified han I have ever been in my life that when it comes to have that conversation it won't end well.

Maybe you should plan something nice and romantic for her. It doesn't have to be anything fancy. If you can cook then cook her a nice romantic candlelit dinner and then offer her a foot massage or something. If she says no then you know something is wrong.

I'll try anything. However, I'm a shocking cook so if things are salvagable I'd be better off taking her out!

Well, you could order food from a local restaurant and bring it home and serve her that way. I'm emphasizing home because it allows for more intimacy both physical and in conversation. She's less likely to come out with what's bothering her if you are not out in public.

Called up a farm advertising field board today, in an effort to move Busby to someplace where my job won't conflict with the place he's living. Hope they call me back. Now I just have to come up with a really good speech about how he's not a bad boy, he's just, um... Strong-willed. Really, really strong-willed.

Starting to have the jitters about this already. I don't want to have to crawl back to my current barn begging them to take him back a second time because the new barn's owner asked him to leave the property. Hopefully he won't do any damage this time around.

Alynna, maybe he just doesn't like being "cooped up" in a barn? Is he a real "outdoor boy"? maybe he's hyper (like me) and needs a lot of space to run his hyper out before being boxed up in a barn! Works for me!

marv - when men or women are looking for a way out, but don't know how to do it, they start acting like your gf is doing now. I may be wrong, she may be affected by something else in her life (job, family units, PMS) but when people withdraw from their other half, it's usually not a good sign. Hate to say that, but having been on the receiving end of this behaviour a few times myself, I recognise the 'symptoms'. Best thing to do is bring it out in the open. If you are forewarned, you are forearmed. I wasn't one time, and it almost destroyed me. Now I don't hesitate to get honest answers. Just be prepared for the worst possible answers.

I did a nice job freehand trimming the beard down, and Av taught me how to log in as my God and myself at one time.
