To specifically counter the litany of DOOM! that I normally replay in my head, allow me to list my joys.

Today, I am joyed at many things, specifically:

* Spring is springing as we speak!
* My best friend is flying in for a 3d weekend visit, to include tennis, movies, and pizza-in-defiance-of-my-lo-carb-diet
* Today is my Friday, work-wise!
* As of this morning I am now down over 45lbs from Oct'06 when I started my life-regime, and now consistently (and permanently!) under 200lbs
* Elohimfest is nearing
* My new IT position is working out very well, and I enjoy coming to work nearly every day again.
* My wife is about to start DBT (dialectical behavior therapy) sessions to treat her recently diagnosed BPD (borderline personality disorder), and we are both positive about what it will do for her/our quality of life.
* We are finally putting a fence in the backyard so Ursa can run/frolic at will.
* Fatal Revenant is out this year, and a copy is already reserved in my name
* My AD&D 2nd Ed. campaign of now 3+ years is nearing fruition, and my players are close to completing their big world-spanning gaudy and godly quest.
* Spiderman III is out this summer
* I'm giving a unit of blood today, which takes me near the 3 gallon mark. Clave beware!
* Much to my surprise, not only is our net worth a positive number, it is reasonably high for someone who is so *not* a saver
*The Watch makes dw happy, even when he only lurks.
* All in all, life is good.

Man, EVERYONE confuses me. Goes with the territory of being strange.

LOL! Maybe that's my problem! However, yeah....some people are supposed to be consistent (ie: they've been so consistent for so long it's almost boring or, at least, predictable) and then WHAMO! That kind of thing unsettles me! Oh well, I'll arm myself with a bat from now on! :P

It's always easier if you cut half the handle off. You can hide it more effectively then.

I'm feeling something similar at the moment. I think you can look too closely and end up seeing things that aren't really there. But then, when something jumps up and hits you from nowhere, you realise that there were all thses signs pointing towards the thing that surprised you, but by then it's too late!!! :P

Ahhh...life is a riddle.
It'd take you a long time to blow up or shoot all the sheep in this country, but one diseased banana...could kill 'em all.

I didn't even know sheep ate bananas.

Heh. Nah, the Mad Hatter's riddles are far less complex than the one's life throws at ya.

There's a certain justice to the Mad Hatter, aswell. If you make the correct choice you win. In life there are very few correct choices and you're generally screwed either way. I think the most important thing is to at least screw up by making choices, rather than screwing up by making no choices. 8)

Meh. I'm going for a run.

I agree. It's way better to make a choice than not make one, if your getting screwed either way.
