Okies. . . Wadds, don't panic yet. I'll get us a room. :)

From what I understand, a family member is giving me a free airline ticket, and if it is free, I'd rather just fly from my door to the hotel door so to speak, so I think I'll bow out of the Denver caravan.

Sooo tired. . . going to bed now. :Z:

I'm just popping in because Fisty has been asking.

And no, I will not be able to attend the Elohimfest.

In part because some pretty serious unresolved personal issues with another Watch member. :? I refuse to get into whom that person is, or what the issues are other than that they are very private and should remain so...but will admit that this is the primary reason I did not attend the one in Washington, will not attend this one, and probably will not be attending very many in the future. It is also the primary reason I do not come to the Watch very often anymore.

There, that is off my chest now, and I never have to say it again, or pretend that nothing is wrong when something is very wrong indeed. :) 8) I have felt like I have been living a lie whenever I come here for awhile now (in pretending that nothing is wrong), and I do not need to feel that way ever again. :D Lies truly poison the soul!

Also in part because I have to ask for all of my vacation time off for the entire year once a year, and I did not know about this back in January, and it is too late to ask for it now. Yeah I know, my employer is bizarre, but at least I have a job, which is more than a lot of people here in Michigan can say these days. :(

I will say that whoever has time should go up to Santa Fe and go to the Georgia O'Keefe Museum there - Danlo was gracious enough to take me and my family up there and there was a painting that made me and Danlo gasp when we saw it - it was the One Tree!!!

Also, Danlo knows where this really cool store can be found in Albuquerque called the Chili Addict, where you can get all sorts of really awesome New Mexico food products. There was this hot sauce called (spoiled because the name is obscene)
Spoiler
Mean Green Mother Fucker
that made me laugh everytime we saw it. The New Mexico grown nuts and pine nuts were great, and they mix their own gourmet coffees and teas. 8)

We enjoyed staying at the Barcelona Court, and there was a great place with a pretty decent salad bar right across the street to eat lunch. :)

I love most of you here (I see a hell of a lot of good even in the person I cannot seem to get along with) and hope that you all have a great trip and a great Fest and a great time! New Mexico is gorgeous!! Danlo and his wife are gracious hosts, and she is a wonderful chef!! |G |G |G |G |G |G |G |G |G |G |G |G |G |G |G |G |G

Love,
duchy :hearts:

And Danlo - you and your dear wife are not rid of me - you will never know when I might drop into Albuquerque for a week sometime in the future
Love as thou wilt.

LOL! You can always tell out-of-towners around here, 'cause they always say "I'm going to Washington" rather than "I'm going to DC."

OK folks, I can get round trip tickets to Denver (Thurs-Mon) for around $220. Hotel room in NM will run roughly $75/night.

Can anyone help a brother out with getting to and from Albuquerque and possibly a room in Denver?

Or I could just pay the extra airfare and fly into NM Friday and fly out Sunday night. Prolly cost the same.

there's a contingent meeting in denver, Cail! i'm sure someone will let you bunk with them and they're splitting the vehicle rental for convoy to NM.

i'm very happy to see you're making plans!! :bounce03:

Man am I jealous. I would have loved to tip a few w/ Cail.

This thing with my brother is sadly putting the kay-bosh on any chance I would have had to come this year...not that I mind...he may not even need me ...but I have to keep my time free....just in case.

Does anyone now if SRD will sign books (not book plates or whatever they're called) while we're with him?
