Danlo, sorry to hear about your loss. It's tough to be the rock in a situation like that. You know where to go if you need support.
I read The Golden Spruce last month. It's an excellent book that raises some interesting questions.

You know how it is, some days are better than others. Just trying to stay real busy at the moment. I've lost a bit of weight which is a positive!

It'd take you a long time to blow up or shoot all the sheep in this country, but one diseased banana...could kill 'em all.
I didn't even know sheep ate bananas.

I've decided to not go to the rest of my lectures today. Bed sounds much better.

But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.
Full of the heavens and time.

Why don't they let you bring your bed to lectures? Or better yet, why don't they bring the lectures to your bed!?Warmark wrote:I've decided to not go to the rest of my lectures today. Bed sounds much better.

Dandelion don't tell no lies
Dandelion will make you wise
Tell me if she laughs or cries

I'm afraid there's no denying
I'm just a dandelion

Danlo and Jenn -- Hugs and sympathy to both of you.
MagickMaker didn't get into her first-choice college. OTOH, the two she *did* get into are fine choices. Now she just has to decide.
We did one school's "accepted students day" last weekend and will do the other school's this coming weekend. Stay tuned....
Elsewhere in the good news/bad news dept.: Girl Scout cookie season is over, yay! But one of the girls in the troop stiffed us for her cookie money. She owes most of it to council, and they will go after her parents for it, so it's mostly bad news for *her*. But it made it harder to wrap up the sale....

Thank you everyone for all the support. You guys rock. I had a long talk with Heatherly in which I said many painful but necessary truths to her and gave her a nice healthy sized dose of reality shock. I also told her that this is her LAST chance and that if she doesn't pull her head out and she screws me over one more time we are done for good. I hope it sinks in better this time.
Hugs to everyone!

Thank god it's Friday. Now if I can only make it through the weekend, I'll have...another week of work to look forward to. *sigh*
Uh, yeah, feel fine. Bit sore, especially my finger-tips, otherwise fine. Don't really want to be at work, and the Watch was so quiet the last 12 hours or so that I'm not really expecting much entertainment from it today, although hopefully I'll be mistaken. Five and a half hours left of work. Bleh.

Okay so here it is:drew wrote:--I'm horrible and confused and a little guilty for these feelings...
More to follow in a couple of days.
Lis had a misscarriage this week.
So I feel horrible. Saddened. I love all my kids, and to think that I'm going to miss out on another one is very disheartening.
The confusion and guilt come from the fact, that I also feel relieved.
I can't help feeling relieved by the fact that I don't have another mouth to feed...and I feel like a bag of shit, because I feel that way!!
Does that make sense?
