interesting; so you think HT actually survived fire @ fall, and lay in coma for eleven years or so? might happen, of course

I would have to agree .. it was then and only then that HT did die .. but I do not think he was in reality alive in our world all that time .. but as amy says 'might happen ofcourse' ..

or maybe in HT's case not only his soul/ego/consciousness/whatever crossed the gap, but his whole body had been translated to the Land, and he effectively disappeared from this world; maybe Atiaran in her misfired attempt achieved something unique

Amy - I was just going to add the same thing. Maybe Atiaran messed up in a beautiful way and achieved something new - bringing HT over into the Land in one piece, as it were. Isn't that the way of things? That new things are discovered quite by accident?!

the entire person translation is excellent!! .. and explains the exception that the HT case seems to be .. I like it!!!! I wish I had thought of it!! that would explain a lot .. would explain that HT is not still hanging on the end of a fire-escape even now ... long after the fire has been doused .. nor is he still in excess of 10 years .. in a coma on life support!!

.. the misfired summoning returning Atiaran to the Land and capturing/translating HT there also. I like it

Yes, that's a very good theory... It answers many, if not all, of the questions... Very plausible, and a nice idea too, that Atiaran managed to discover a new phenomenon...

If Atiaran burned up in Troy's apartment as a Jane Doe, then who or what is buried in her grave at Revelwood? Did she even die as a result of the fire in the aprtment building, or did she accidentally incinerate herself useing power she didn't fully understand or control? Maybe she pulled Hile Troy to the land because she was the one on fire first, or they were both on fire, and their like circumstances pulled them together, so to speak?

how about this:

atiaran summoned HT, bringing him in2 the land completely, but as she was doing that, she caught the fire that came with him, and so she was incinerated. but HT was already in the land, or protected by the lore on his way to the land.

perhaps atiaran got the flames from HT's appartment fire, died and then HT appeared momentarily afterwards. and as his summoner was dead before he got to the land, his summoners death had no effect on him?

but perhaps:

like CC and Hollian, atiaran sacrificed herself in HT's fire to give him life in the land, believing him to be TC? but as HT wasn't from the land, the Law of Life wouldn't b broken...

So if Covenant had accepted the Creator's offer, would his body
have remained alive and vegetative in the Real World while his
Land self remained in the Land?

If it did, would that mean that Covenant would have been
long lived in the Land because his human body was still aging
at a rate comparable to our world's?

Would Covenant have completely mastered the wild magic
over 3000 years? Would he have seen Foul's actions and
been able to thwart them? Would he have gone mad from
living so long with only Foul and the Ravers enduring the
ages with him?

good question...

but i would assume that while TC's companions died off, there would be more that took their place...

but more importantly, as the sunbane was created, if TC was there, could he have prevented the corruption of the clave?

How many friends and lovers could a person lose before he loses
all hope and sanity?

As to whether or not Covenant could have prevented the Clave, I'm
not sure. Being looked at with honor and respect was something that
Covenant had grown to hate ... he never felt worthy of it ... and he
could have become a living god in the Land ....

I'm guessing he would have lived a lonely and isolated life.

I'm trying 2 develope a pet theory on the Land itself being an integal player in the 1st Chrons, ala--the stains in Morrinmoss--My question is this: Do u think the Land, itself, summonded Troy and protected him--think about this...(the Land being it's own self...as an extention of the Creator...or the Forests calling out in their time of need)
fall far and well Pilots!

Interesting point about the forests needing him - It sems to me like every event inthe chrons was planned out, intended to happen - as though it was all destiny. The stories of White Gold in place so that Covenant would be treated a certain way, a series of horrific encounters on the way to Revelstone, the events with Elena (especially the Law of Death - remember Foul's message - 'I will hold the power of life and death in my hand' - And he did, but only because of Elena's actions, 40 years after the message).
The same applies for Hile Troy becoming the Forestal so that he could save the world at the end (by breaking Law of Life) - it's as if Hile Troy was summoned to the land to perform a certain action 3500 years later... Like it was all predestined.

I always thought of it as Caer Caveral recruiting another Forestal - The price of tainting the song. I think he would have been equally happy with Mhoram... But yours is an interesting train of thought, and equally possible.
