Dude gets a call from a mysterious stranger at 5 AM; is asked to board a plane and fly somewhere. Gets an offer he can't refuse (but wants to). There's a big ole conspiracy involving a huge web of intrigue. Dude runs around all crazy for 24 hours, dodging death left and right and picking up clues. Then we get a Scooby-Doo ending, where the big Boogie-Man's mask is yanked off, and it turns out that the conspiracy was really a fake, and there was one big rich dude (who we met early on in the story) behind everything. Yes, I've read all four of Dan Brown's books, I'm not really proud of it, I thought
Digital Fortress was pretty stupid, and
Angels and Demons was my favorite. I hope to god that I can somehow avoid reading the next one.
