Before I read RUnes the first time; I re-read the second Chronicles; knowing that the Last Chronicles were to have those seeds planted throughout.
I finished them before Runes was available; so I went ahead and reread the First Chronicles.
I think I prefer the second chronicles as a whole.
BUT I found that I was glad I had reread the First just before Runes; because there were lots of clues burried in the First that SRD used.
He may not have planted them intentially when writting them; but he certainly made good use of them.

I think i may re-read WGW, however i definatley will not be doing the whole series.drew wrote: Though I doubt if I will reread any of them before Revenant.
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.
Full of the heavens and time.

I find you almost don't need to anymore with this forum.
I've read the first two seris' three times now...and inbetween each, I had forgotten a lot of stuff.
But now that I've been disscussing and reading disscusions on them for like three years...I doubt if there's any mystery left for me.

Man, what are you talking about?! Of course you have to re-read them. Especially if we're talking aout many years since your first read, you will be missing too much. Ok, if you want to shorten it up, just skip The One Tree. TOT IMO was the worst book but I still will re-read it. Linden makes me want to stick needles in my face.
It was the fetid halitus of the most diseased mortality condensed to its essence and elevated to the transcendence of prophecy, promise, suzerain truth—the definitive commandment of darkness.
Oh boy, here we go. . .
I'm with THOOLAns, but still think you should reread them. It helps to understand everything TC and Linden (ick) do later, and it wouldn't be fair to characters like Hamako, Pitchwife and Vain to skip over them (though Linden and the Elohim, I could give a miss).
I'm trying to reread them currently (first time in 5 years), and am stuck halfway through The One Tree--girding my loins, so to speak, for the ending (which I *still* can't believe happened. . .without a LIMB!)

I submit!
Due to overwhelming demand, I have dug up my old copy of TWL out of a box in the garage. The 2nd Chronicles, here I come.
I can't really call myself a "servant of the land" without giving them another try.
Thanks for everyone's responses. Much appreciated.
