Ouchie Damelon! By the way, the cake was actually a mocha mousse with chocolate cake layers (4) about half an inch thick each, the mocha mousse being inbetween the layers and topped with a caramel white chocolate swirl icing and edged with shaved coffee infused chocolate. Dear lord it was delicious.....

Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

As for me, every time I think things are soo bad in my life, I am reminded that in the grand scheme of things I have it far better than many people.

Aaand. . . I think I may have a lead on a job. It's a Patient Family Avocate in a hospital on the neurotrauma ICU ward. It seems to be a good fit from what I've heard so far. However, I need to investigate a little further to see if it warrants an application. :)

<sigh> Hopefully, at some stage, someone is going to give me a manual on how to play stupid emotional games...because, well, I have no desire to learn the rules!

Why, oh why, can't people just say what they mean rather than...I dunno...I guess you could say "circumnavigating" topics, thoughts...whatever.

It's so simple!: Say what you mean!!!!

I'm jack of trying to work out what other people are thinking and feeling, and trying to work out what they're trying to tell me. I'm a simple gal and I don't enjoy convolution, and I don't enjoy the tension of having to read between lines. And my pet hate: when I sense someone is steering a conversation in a certain direction because they don't have the *balls* to just come out and bring up the issue. As soon as I know that's happening I *refuse* to bring the topic up. My internal dialogue says "you want to talk about this YOU bring it up!"

And... [insert expletives]

And I don't think much of that made sense...but I'm ticked off!!!
