:::double post, sorry:::

Tonight we're doing the hot dogs we didn't do for Memorial Day yesterday.

Best Kosher all beef hot dogs (simmered)
Silver floss brand sauerkraut with caraway seeds (heated)
chopped sweet onion
Gulden's mustard
multi-grain buns
silverqueen corn on the cob oven roasted in the husk
Bush's baked beans

Oh boy... :::rubbing hands with glee:::

I try to forget that most of the time, athough I do wish more would post...

Tonight is pork steaks. I've gotten that far at least, as they're in the refrigerator defrosting. But, I have some last minute errands to run before finalizing my packing for the trip tomorrow, Beorn only has a half day of school today, and just general stuff has taken my mind off of what I want to do with them.

I'm thinking I'll need a good hour with Olias to make it through the day today...

Tonight is deep-fried rounds of camembert with cranberry sauce and deep-fried pineapple slices.

Saturday we're having a dinner party, *sigh* Easy though, one big cheese fondue and one big chocolate fondue.

Oh yum on both accounts, Av.

How do you do the deep fried rounds? Do you leave them whole, or are they cut into wedges? Battered or dusted?

I assume crackers or apple slices to go with?

Toast usually. Usually halve the rounds and batter them lightly, and that's about all.

When I was about 16 I went to a mate's birthday party and his mum made a HUGE pot of melted cheese for fondue. We all tucked in, and despite a slighty funny taste, loved it. Little did we know that his mum had poured an entire bottle of 40% proof whiskey in to it. We all ended up absolutely hammered.

And if ya didn't guess they were an Irish family so that explains their lax attitude towards teenage alcohol consumption.
It'd take you a long time to blow up or shoot all the sheep in this country, but one diseased banana...could kill 'em all.

I didn't even know sheep ate bananas.

Chicken fajitas tonight i think.
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

Full of the heavens and time.

Ooo...

Maybe pork carnitas tonight. Although, that would be a waste of some nice looking pork steaks.

Maybe smothered and baked instead? I still don't know.

Sounds like someone else should offer to make some variety.

I don't think this is a particularly good week to give Jenn any grief...

 Sounds like my mum! Whenever we go home to Ireland she'll cook an industrial size pot of spaghetti bolognese knowing that what with visiting friends or them visiting us, eating hours can be strange and numbers uncertain!

I love my mum's bolognese! :D

I'm glad to hear she's delegating. That was my stressor when I did the monthly events as activities programmer for the 200+ apartments in our Village community before we moved.

Jenn did tell me privately that dinner last night would be somthing different. That's funny. :)
