A few more books, a trip to Bagel Brothers, and my tattoo for my 19th. Rest of it in savings. :D

Oh my gods...it's catching. Speaking of which, Menolly, I wonder how you actually pronounced Chr-sty when you spoke to her... ;)

Heh.

I was wondering about how she pronounced Christy's name as well...

Heh.

Fist and I had this discussion a long time ago, about the time we got together up in Warwick, NY when my family went to my MIL's for Chr-stmas a couple of years ago.

Pronunciation is not a problem, as long as I am not saying the name of G-d used only in prayer outside of prayer. So, when addressing her verbally, Chr-sty is Chr-sty. It's only in written format that I edit.

I had noticed danlo did that. It has happened on other boards I post on as well.

danlo, I appreciate the intention of you doing such, but it isn't necessary. Like my constant apologizing, you really don't need to go picking up my own mishigosh (craziness).

Unless you personally decided that you agree with my reasons for doing so. But generally, no one ever does...

You've read the explanation I've linked to before of why observant Jews don't write out their names for HaShem? And understand it is my own craziness to apply it to all names for G-d that I am familiar with?

The Names of G-d
