What time you doing?
Slow. High 50s for 10k. My PBs are 4k in 17mins and for 10k is 51mins. I dont mind being slow, as I'm training for a half marathon - I cant run fast for 2 hours! :)

Do you train Marvin?
Yeah, it's about the only thing I really enjoy doing. Well, aside fom the obvious.

When I was playing footy I used to go to the gym and throw around iron. All a waste of time really. Now I stick to mainly circuit training and runs. I also swim and bike a bit. I havn't done any long distance work for a good while, sticking to runs of 3-5k distance because I'm going in the navy and that's what's required for the training. I had my 10k time down to 37 minutes about 6 months ago. I thought I was fast until I went running with some amatuer club runners who knock the distance out in 32! I'd probably be doing it in 40 or so now. I actually have a 10k race next week-end which I'm running with a mate. Anyway, good luck with your half marathon. I ran in one of those last year and I can safely say it was excrutiating :P ! The first 5k's of the course were on a long, slow gradient and it was a case of mind over matter for the remainder. :)
It'd take you a long time to blow up or shoot all the sheep in this country, but one diseased banana...could kill 'em all.

I didn't even know sheep ate bananas.

OH Phantasm! That sounds PAINFUL! I've said it in other threads but I'll say it again in this one. We filmed the final scenes for ep 40, the final episode of FBH. I am happy with what we got despite the lighting issues. It's a bittersweet moment for me. I am thrilled that we finally filmed my silly vision but I am also sad to be done with the filming aspect of this project. Now all that remains is the editing and finale party. I'm oddly relieved but saddened and yet happy. It's a confusing combination of feelings. I do want to say that this project has been one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. Despite the incredible amount of hours of work this project has claimed, it has given me far far more than I could ever have hoped for or imagined. It has brought me closer to the friends I already had, given me many more friends that I wouldn't have met otherwise, helped me become a reader for and friend of SRD, brought me to the watch and the list goes on. Without it, I wouldn't have found myself sitting on a rooftop this morning having brunch and lots of laughs with Lucimay. And yet now I feel a bit like crying.....

I know I am sentimental, I can't help it. SIX YEARS I have been living breathing filming editing loving learning meeting growing and being FBH and Lord Foul's Bane. How can I NOT be sentimental? I couldn't be prouder of it. And I couldn't love it more. Yet I am ready to move on and eager to finish "Raised by Crows" and start work on "Last Spaceboat to Mars." It's just hard in some ways to let it go.

Well, you should be proud!!! :) And, well, if I were in your boat I'd be as sentimental as hell! But, well, as you said yourself: it's given you more than you could have ever hoped for or imagined. And those things continue, so even though you're letting go of a lot when you film that final scene and when the final editing is done...you're certainly not letting go of everything. :)

I hope that when the FBH wrap party comes around you'll be glowin' with pride and happiness. :D I'll get Luci to take a pic of you grinning from ear to ear!

I am proud and I am going to be grinning. And I know we already have other projects in the works. First manner of business is to finish "Raised by Crows" and that's gonna be alot of work. 8O

Let it run it's course, Sea. Drink plenty of fluids and try not to push yourself too hard. Easier said than done with a toddler, I know.

But, ya gotta take care of yourself too...

Cool! Never seen that forum before Menolly. Learn something new every day!

Yeah, I'll let it run its course but, well...I'd love to just stay in bed all day. Alas!

...someone did just call me and ask if I wanted to go SWIMMING this morning! It's about 9 degrees (centigrade) here and pouring with rain! I think my friend has lost her mind!!!

Marvin - Good luck with your 10k race next weekend - let me know how you go. And yeah, half marathons are excruciating - that's why I love them! :)

On topic, today I feel great. I got a good night's sleep for a change, as my work pager didnt go off! yay!

Breakfast was muesli and a litre of water, a multi-vitamin, then a coffee mid-morning. Mmmm caffeine.

I finally replaced the (all-in-one) ink cartridge in my printer last week, so I could help one of my housemates print out a project report (his own printer is incredibly slow). For some reason, the new cartridge prints okay for up to a page, then the black turns entirely green. When I print a colour test page, which has cyan, yellow, magenta, and green stripes, the magenta always fades out toward the right of the page; I think the two are linked.
I had to use the printer again today. It turns out the green writing is actually quite easy on the eyes.

I hate when printers misbehave. Cartridges are expensive, dang it.

I just realised. The Cyan/Magenta/Yellow/Green was supposed to be Cyan/Magenta/Yellow/Black.

No real complaints today. Need some coffee though.

Danlo, your dinner was better than mine. A ham and salami sandwich, a few tortilla chips and ice cream.
