Sombody's gonna get some dancin' bananas on saturday. :P

Gonna go campin' in Big Sur this weekend. It's a private beach and not many folks visit the spot so I'm thinkin the fishin' will be good. I'll line-fish from the beach and go spearfishing.

WOO! I LOVE Banana's. :D

The camping trip sounds fun. One question, is spear fishing exactally what it sounds like?

well, you put on a mask & snorkle and flippers and if it's cold you wear a wetsuit and you get in the water and find the one you want to eat and if he'll let ya, you stick im.
i don't use a speargun though, too clumsy and noisy(the clickety-click scares the fish). i use a hawaiian sling, it's a long piece of alluminum with rubber tubing on one end and sharp points on the other. trouble is there are'nt any barbs so once you spear something you gotta dig it into the sand and grab the other end of the points so he can't wriggle off. this could get a little tough if he's big and you're down twenty feet and you're out of breath.
it's cool though, being in the fish's element.

I suppose it's the most sporting way to fish. :D Don't get HLT started about sharks though. ;)

Apparently fishing for Florida lobster in the Keys is done similarly. I've never had the opportunity to do it though.

Yeah, I'm not much of an "underwater" person...not even a big swimming fan actually. My climbing partner is trying to get the GF and I into diving, but I'm just not that interested.

Well, it's the Canada Day long weekend up hear. I am heading out to 'the cottage' where everyone on my mom's side gets together to have a big 'un-birthday' party. About 35 of us spread out among 4 cottages. Sand surf food and great times!

LOVE IT!

Happy Canada Day everyone!

We are going to party for Alex's birthday. Also Nick is going to one of his 19 girlfriends birthday party in the morning. He picked out little girl flower necklaces and bracelets with little rings and a card with girly uniconrn stickers. He forgot the perfume and wants me to get it today. He plans on wearing cologne.

He is six. I dread him as a teenager. Sheesh.

Balon, I figure it's early by US standards, but it's 3:00 am Saturday morning where Sea and Lore are, so I wanted to be the first.

Happy 19th buddy!!

It'll be quiet this weekend. A little puttering around the house, a little grilling. Nothing exciting.
