So, yeah. I'm gettin' drunk tomorrow.

I'm back, safe and sound from my long week in North Carolina. Went to Fort Bragg. Saw the Airborne and Special Operations Museum.

Also went to Banner Elk--home to my dad's college (Lees-McRae). The place also had Grandfather Mountain; I stood on its peak and took some very exhilarating pics/video using my new digital camera.

I also ate out a lot and stayed in some Foul hotels. All in all, fun times. My grandfather reminisced with one of his old Special Forces mates, whom I was honored to meet.

I went to a crazy Harry Potter thing. Basically, they turned this street in our city into Diagon Alley. It was pretty great, and everyone was in costume...but it was SO crowded, so we left early. Today we went to the movie (which was good, but they really could've added a good 30min to).

TOMMORROW is my last day of work for this week. I think this'll be the first time I;ve had four days off in a row since I started working at the theatre. Gotta figure out something interesting to do.

Rainy here all weekend.

Rented the kiddies a few movies:
Harry Potter 4 (I saw that one in the theatres though)
The Last Mimzi--I thought it was pretty cool.
Bridge to Tarabithia--one of the worst movies I have ever seen.
I thought you were a ripe grape
a cabernet sauvignon
a bottle in the cellar
the kind you keep for a really long time

Back from Sea World and what a bust! :(
It rained almost all weekend.
Thunderstorms moved in and the attractions (rides and most animal shows) shut down.

Oh well, I'll go back again soon 'cause I have an annual pass for there, (...and Busch Gardens and Adventure Island) which means hardly any money spent at these places. (Maybe $15-20 for food & drinks)
I like to go just for for the rides.
Have you hugged your arghule today?

Not a bad weekend all in all...lots of doing nothing. :D A little climbing on Saturday completely negated by the vast quatities of fattening foods and red wine consumed on Sunday. :D

Odd weekend. Had a bit planned for saturday, but rain messed some of that up. So we stayed in, and then the fire alarm went off, even though there was no fire. I guess lightning hit the breaker the fire alarms are on or something. Anyway, the kids got to meet a few firemen! Sunday the church had a luncheon after service, so I was there half the day. I came in to work this morning to find out they're beginning to lay people off, and the only reason I haven't been layed off yet is because I'm not done with this project I'm working on (which will not last forever). So, hopefully work will pick up soon or else I'll be looking for a new job.

Oh man, sorry to hear that, dAN. Hopefully things will look up for you.

My weekend passed in a sleep-deprived haze, as I expected. Stayed up all Friday night reading the new Harry Potter, then had to get up in the middle of the night again Saturday to pick up MagickMaker from the Amtrak station. Yesterday, I mostly slept. :Z:

Thus far I've slept in SUPER late, saw a movie, and now Sam and I are heading downtown to pick up the Gap into Power from the library and Tarnsman of Gor from Orca Books for Luci.

Back from the ride. I picked up the Gap into Power, three KODT, a journal with the Cat in the Hat on the cover and the newest volume of the Walking Dead.

Got a free slice of pizza from my favorite joint, and found a new route back home.

I LOVE weekends.

I'm sure things will be fine. I really hate this project I'm working on, so I might just go out and get a new job so I can get off the damn project even sooner!

--Couldn't sleep last night.

Too hot;
Too much on my mind.

Got up at Six...although that's sleeping in, 'cause I get up at five on weekdays.
Decided to drive to the beach at the the end of my road....it's pretty secluded...not very sandy; not as popular as the rest of the beaches around..none of the Real Haligonian (the City Folk) probebly even know it exists; and if they did..it's closer for them to go to one of the more sandy places anyways.....but the ocean's the ocean eh?

I sat on a big rock in the water for a while; letting the waves crash over my legs...water is still ice col this time of year...especially this particular beach.

After a while, moved to what little bit of sand there was; sat there and breathed the 'Ocean Breath' that my wife (the Yoga instructor) taught me; tried to breathe along with the waves.

Nothing else existed other than my breath and the crash of the surf.

When I was ready; I got up; (disrobed) and walked straight out into the waves...the cold didn't seem to bother me now...now that I was ready.

I ducked under; then just followed and swam the waves as they crashed on the beach...only about a dozen or so; the sun was just burning off the fog; so I got out; towelled off; got dressd and started to leave.
Just before I left, I got chatting with some old fella who just came by collect some stones (and was skipping a few).

Drove to the closest comunity with a Tim's (Porter's Lake) got me a nice double/double and a doughnut; and headed home. It was almost eight o'clock, every one was up.

It was nice.

Might do it all again tomorrow.

IRYSSA!!! HUGGLESSSSSSSSS!!! So good to see you!! |G

Russ took all the kids down into the city to a Harry Pottermania Party too. They did the same thing...turned the street into Diagon Alley. The kids all wore customes, and Russ, bless his heart, dressed up as Snape! He looked really creepy too! LOL!!

This weekend we celebrate my brother, Stephen's birthday. He would be 36. This life flies by so fast...babies grow up, people pass on...if there were only a way to bottle up moments, hold onto them. "The lines of life of never long when seen from end to end."

Man...that really, really sounds great. Just may do that myself tomorrow.
Super tired from the FBH Finale Party/Watcher Weekend Extravaganza. Four days of fun and a real joy meeting Damelon, Danlo, Lady Tam,IrrationalSanity and Charles Timewaster. It was also good to see The Creator and Romeo again. Charmed always to see Lucimay. ;)
Y'all're welcome here anytime.

Rest up, BGB. Those waffles you were making while we talked sounded awesome.

Av...I hope today has gone smoothly to make up for the weekend then.

Hugs my friend.
