Trust me, I'm not a big fan of heights either. But when you're halfway up, believe me, you don't think of the ground. All you can see is the bit of rock that's right in front of you. ;)

Now I understand. I felt great. Now I feel stupid. I mispelled my girlfriend's last name on the Plane Tickets... I hope the TSA lets her board.

It's a month away, EL, unless y'all changed what dates she's traveling since we talked. Can the airline fix the name without a fee?

Me too, and I've gone rock climbing as well. In fact, I am a proud owner of a harness that looks very similar to...I think your wife's. Same color and look anyway, but may not be the same. I'm 6'2", which for some reason results in a problem with heights. I was terrified when I first did some rock climbing, but I felt a bit more brave at the time as it was a new relationship and I wanted to impress and not show what a scardy-cat I can be. Well, I got up on the rock, concentrated on where I was putting things, and forgot about the height until I couldn't figure it out. Then I made the mistake of looking down while she coached me. I had a total "cat up a tree" experience. Then I calmed down a bit, found the next foothold, and I was off. Got to the top on the first try and felt real good about it. Then we moved to Colorado, and I haven't been successful since. But I've done a heap of gym climbing, which I must say that I prefer. Except whenever the holds give on me. But I haven't done any climbing since we broke up, and here I have a harness that is just going to waste.

Maybe again someday though.

Ugh, I feel like crap. The stupid fire alarm went off yesterday morning at 4, and stayed on for almost an hour, and last night I only got 5 hours of sleep and woke up with a headache, and the secretary who has two days left here is being extra special bitchy today (she got layed off for being a bitch, so no surprise there).

I'm just a dandelion

I am very tired. Yesterday Nick had a "well" child check up schedualed, but he had been sick then got a bit better then got worse. At his appointment yesterday we were sent to get a chest xray on him. Not only does he have an ear infection, he has pneumonia. Fortunately his oxygen is ok so we can treat it at home. He is on Augmentin, prednisone, a min of 3 albuterol breathing treatments a day, one pulmacort breathing treatment and Singulair.

We're not married, although we might as well be. :D ( 9 years in December.) Anyway, yeah that's specifically designed for women that one, otherwise it's the same as mine. (Look inside the waistbelt for a label that should tell you make and model.)

Anyway, you're crazy...get out on the rock. Colorado has great climbing. :D Gyms are for when its dark and cold. :D [/quote]

She's flying up on Saturday (Caturday) morning. The names cannot be fixed at all. The Airlines (DELTA) have made note that I mispelled her name, so she should atleast be able to get her boarding pass.

Oh! You did change dates then. How exciting! I suspect come Saturday we won't be seeing as much of you for a while. ;)

The note should be enough. And she should be able to get her boarding pass the day before from her computer at home, yes?

Soulquest, hugs for Nick!

Me: I seem to be taking a long time readjusting to normality after my trip to Wilson's Prom. There was something wonderful about not having a phone, a tv, a radio or the internet in my life for that week. The phone rang 5 times tonight while I was trying to make tea and I nearly threw the bloomin' thing against the wall! Now I'm back here in the real world I feel tired and a little run down.

But, well, I'm sure I'll get back into the swing of things sooner or later.

EL has no idea how these things work.

And you won't be seeing much of me for 17 days. :P

"How long do you want to stay?"
"You're buying the tickets."
"How long do you think you can stand being tied to a bed at one stretch?"
"I dunno."

<ali averts her eyes from EL's last post>

I'm bored.

I work for three attorneys. One is on paternity leave; one is on an off-the-grid vacation (he's at a resort where there's no e-mail and no public phones, and he can't get a cellphone signal); and the third just went off to a meeting for the rest of the afternoon. I've done all the little piddly clean-up jobs around here; I went to the bank and to lunch; I've poked around the Watch for, like, *hours*. I even stuck my head in the Tank just now (and pulled it back out really, really fast). Now I'm just bored.

If I remember correctly, and I could very well be wrong, but I think mine might have been unisex. Then again, maybe not, as I might have borrowed a unisex at some point. And yeah, that's what real climbers say: get out on the rock. What you don't understand is that I'm a wuss. Especially when it comes to my hands and feet slipping on the little tiny things I'm supposed to be jamming my feet into. I'm very much a beginner, and was goaded into it by an ex-fiance who won climbing competitions in Oregon.

YAY! :S Great afternoon!

And even though it poured with rain when I took SoS to kinder and when I picked him up (and as I walk, I got drenched, even in a coat) I just didn't give a rats a**!
