I swaped lots of old PS2 and Xbox games for Lego Star Wars: Original Trilogy an Forza Motorsport 2. I haven't played Lego Star Wars yet because Forza shows no sign of leaving my machine! It's an excellent game, those extra months in development look like they were worth it.

I am playing "Castlevania: Curse of Darkness." If anyone has any tips, please feel free to pass them my way.

I downloaded the Shadowrun demo at the weekend. It was a game I was really excited about, but decided to hold my horses after a lot of very mixed reviews centring on the game's lack of offline play, relatively small number of maps and it's pricing point.
The reviews were nearly all positive when it came to the actual gameplay, though. Fasa studios really have taken a whole new approach to FPS gaming. The magical abilities are a lot of fun (you can teleport 8 metres in the direction you are moving, plant a tree that heals anyone nearby, summon a demon to fight for you, resurrect a teammate at the cost of some of your magic essence, put down magical crystals that hinder movement) and so are the technology options (the glider, enhanced vision and whatnot), but what makes it all work so well is that you are limited to three abilities and the balance between different 'builds' is flawless. I found myself taking tree of life, resurrection and gust (a power reminiscent of Force Push in the Jedi Knight games), this meant that I was in an ideal position to defend an artifact, but if that artifact was taken, my ability to move quickly to intercept it was badly compromised. Also, lacking the ability to teleport out of a sticky situation meant that I was quickly killed whenever I was outnumbered. With teleport I could've zipped away through a wall or the floor to regroup.
So, Shadowrun is not perfect, but I think it gets the most important things right and Fasa have been very brave in developing such an original game in a genre chock full of variations-on-a-theme. I've ordered a copy (a cheapy from eBay: I'm not paying £40 for a game if I can possibly help it!) and I'm looking forward to getting my ass handed to me once it arrives!

A. Because proper tea is theft.

It turns out I have even less willpower than I realised. I got a copy of Shadowrun last week (for the princely sum of £26: never pay retail) and a headset for the 360.
I'm currently using the 48 hour Xbox Live Gold pass that came free with the game, and I'm really enjoying it. So many FPS games are about who frags hardest and very little else, but the teamwork aspects of Shadowrun are fantastic. Even if you couldn't hit a cow's backside with a frying pan, you can make yourself useful by resurrecting team mates, dropping a healing tree during a firefight or using the strangle ability to block enemies' retreat (or advance, for that matter). My only negative is that the microphone on my headset doesn't work, so people think I'm a bot!

My husband and I are playing through Halo 2 together on Heroic (in preparation for the release of Halo 3)...we finished Halo a couple months ago. Other than that, I'm just playing some Fable every now and then.

At the moment I am playing "Hitman" on PS2 and am a big fan of first person shooter games.
I used to really get into the "Unreal" games on my PC but never the tournaments or anything online for that matter.
"Killzone", "Shell shock", you know .. stuff like that, lol.
All the "Resident Evil" and "Tomb Raider" games are in my collection as well.
Dino Crisis 1 & 2, and ... and ... I really need to sit down and try to put together a list of games that I still have (somewhere) and am no longer playing.

I've ventured onto Oracle of Ages, after beating the other Game Boy Color Zelda, Oracle of Seasons.
I think I like Ages a little better (it's more puzzle-based), but then again Seasons provided a larger over-world and more impressive colors (thanks to the changing seasons).
I think Zelda fans (especially fans of Link's Awakening) should find a way to play the Oracle games. On their own, they're impressive, but playing them together allows you to use a password system that unlocks certain secrets/story elements.
