Sending my good health wishes for all those in need! I got out and went boogie boarding with Bloodguard Bob and Julie yesterday. The waves were mild and were breaking a bit odd so hard to catch but it just felt so soul soothing to simply get in the ocean.

Tired, bored, despondant, but not smoking. That's something. And probably the reason for the other two. Now I just need to find a good non-contract job and I might actually find some happiness in my life.

Hugs to all what needs 'em, and kudos to the rest (danlo -- good luck with the new kid! Jenn, I'm jealous of your new camera!).

Just enjoying what's likely to be my last day of peace & quiet here at work. The attorney who's been on paternity leave comes back tomorrow, and the one who's been on vacation comes back Wednesday. He stopped by the office on Thursday while I was out for a dr. appt. and left me a bunch of stuff, which I then spent all day Friday working on.

Oh yeah, the dr. appt.: I've got high blood pressure. (Imagine that....) It was, like, scary high, though. She put me on meds right away and I go back in two weeks to see if they're working.

I figure it'll be *much* lower after I drop MagickMaker off at college on the 23rd!

And Batty goes back to college this Saturday. Things are fixin' to get right peaceful at my house directly!

SO. I just finished getting the majority of my gear together. What for? My yearly trip to the Secret Beach. And no, I'm not telling you where it's at.

But it'll be good, because my Dad and I had a falling out a year ago, so this'll be the first time I've seen him since. And I like the location, because the Secret Beach is sacred. So no fights while we're there.

I need to get my ass in gear though, because I need to make a new sling for the trip.

Anyway, I've got plenty to read and whatnot while I'm there, but I wont be back untill the 23. I leave on the 18th.

Have fun while I'm gone!

I am feeling very lackadaisical.

For the last year, in addition to my paid employment, I have been working my butt off on several volunteeer projects for a nonprofit organization. All the volunteer work culminated in a conference which I attended last month, where I continued to work and met with committees. I still have a few loose ends to wrap up on the projects, but I have a minimum of motivation at this point. I feel like I burned myself out and I want my days off (all of which have been spent on my non-paid jobs) back.

Bleah.

I've moved beyond the feelings of yesterday straight on to wanting to throttle perfect strangers. But only the perfect ones. The normal ones can live.

It's a public holiday today - well, where the Prison is. So I have the day. However, the town where I live isn't having a holiday, so I can deposit some money into my savings account. I am very tempted to buy a large screen LCD television and HD dvd player theatre.

Though I probably wont, as I need to save my money for my own place.
