The Chronicles of Eiran
The Dark Times
And, lo, there came a time of great darkness. In the sixth year of the Second Age, the gods and goddesses found themselves cut off from the world; from their followers. For reasons unknown, it became impossible for them to learn of the happenings on Eiran. They used all of their might, trying to pierce the unseen barrier. All their wisdom. All their guile. But it was all for naught. They were unable to receive word or vision of the world. The could not get word to their prophets. Nay, not even the slightest reassurance could the people get that their deities had not abandoned them.
It was a time of great despair...

sounds sad

And I believe in you
altho you never asked me too
I will remember you
and what life put you thru.
~fly fly little wing, fly where only angels sing~
~this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you~
...for then I could fly away and be at rest. Sweet rest, Mom. We all love and miss you.

The Great Darkness (continued)
And the unthinkable happened. The deities of Eiran's pantheon began to talk of rebellion! They thought to overthrow the Allfather! A new rule would be put in place: An anarcho-syndicalist commune. They would take it in turns to act as a sort of executive officer for the week. But all the decisions of that officer woulds need be ratified at a special bi-weekly meeting. By a simple majority in the case of purely internal affairs, but by a two-thirds majority in the case of more major affairs.

I can't wait to see this.
And if the two others I hope to recruit to additional dark characters join, we'll have an interesting mix of deities for 3.0...

Ah, Pantheon, our forum based RPG, designed and run by Xar, (wherever the hell he is right now). Head along to the "Gravin Threndor" forum to check it out.
Players assume the aspect of deities, and rule absolutely in their sphere, in conflict or co-operation with the other deities. It's great fun...but Xar has been a bit busy, and we're eagerly awaiting our fix.

And so it came to pass that Brid was not best pleased with the Supreme's interpretation of Brid's actions. I seethed and I boiled within, and the thought took shape without conscious design, and a curse flew forth into the Mists, a curse that cut without care, the social ties that bound the Alltyrant to those around him. And thus were all the dieties of Eiran made impotent.
Brid wins.
But Brid is bored, and may be willing to retract the curse, in return for....?
