Spoiler
I can't believe there is someone on this forum who doesn't know what a hedge knight is!

Doesn't the term hedge knight appear in more than just the writing of Martin?

I'm pretty sure that they called the knights in "The Knight's Tale" hedge knights as well. I haven't read any Marin either and yet I am familiar with the term. I know I have come across it somewhere else too. I vaguely remember a short story involving hedge knights. Can't recall the author though.

What is "The Knight's Tale," Jenn? I have heard of a movie called "A Knight's Tale," but have never seen it.Cameraman Jenn wrote:I'm pretty sure that they called the knights in "The Knight's Tale" hedge knights as well. Yeah, I tried that too. I've heard it before since I have never read any George RR Martin so it must exist outside of Martin's works.

Are you sure you're not thinking of Martin's short story, 'The Hedge Knight'? Maybe you read it in the compilation 'Legends'? Or possibly the graphic novel adaptation?Cameraman Jenn wrote:I haven't read any Marin either and yet I am familiar with the term. I know I have come across it somewhere else too.
