Not to mention you can type suprisingly accurately. :)
I'm disappointed, too.

Oh, Why must the Rum always be gone?!

I too am trying to quit nicotine. I have a $300 Rx in my pocket for that miracle drug, but I'm afraid to take it. I have refractory reactions to even the most innocent meds and this one has already killed a celeb.

I quit smoking before by tapering so that's what I'm trying to do now. I have lots to do. Wish me luck?

Good luck with kicking the dreaded nicotine.

I haven't done it yet either

Good luck jwaneeta!!! I'm on my second smoke free day but I don't advertise my giving up anymore because I'm hopeless and always cave. When I go a month without a smoke I shall announce it to everyone! But, yeah: BE STRONG! As SoS says to me: "Don't smoke. Smoking makes you sick."

Get well soon, Jenn!

Are you working through it, or staying at home?

Ahh, those damnable books of romance. You'll get over it. Or she'll make you get over it.

But here's hoping that will never happen. Good luck to ye.

And I too haven't given up the smokes. But now that October (my prime smoking month) is almost over, I'll be trying again this weekend. Time to get my drinking in too, as the smoke bone is connected to the drink bone.

Now all I have to worry about is Christmas.

HENRY ROLLINS CONCERT TONIGHT! WOO!

:edit:

On another note, it is really amazing how having a good pair of glvoes can change the bike ride. I'm no longer freezing, because my fingers are now toasty. YAY!

So, Jay, are you going to lock this thread when it gets to 9999 posts? :P

We're only a little over 100 away.

How does one have a "prime smoking month" ?

I thought I had mentioned this at some point here, but maybe not. Regardless, if I did, it was several pages away. I guess what I mean by that is that I most want to smoke in October. Even before I became a full time smoker and was just smoking socially only, I would always pick up a pack in October. It's just the month that feels the best to smoke during.

8O Sure, Cag. Whatever you say.

I'm in Boston today for our law firm's partners' retreat. I'm one of four secretaries from our DC office who get two days of all-expenses-paid OT at a lovely hotel (they're even paying for my Internet connection in the hotel room, yay!), in exchange for telling the partners where to go. (I mean literally tell them where to go: "The dot on your name tag tells you which breakout session you've been assigned to. What color is your dot?... What do you mean, you already lost your name tag? We handed it to you half an hour ago!") I tell ya, there are not many times in life when one is handed an opportunity like this!

Chantix is having great results for some, but I have a lot of trouble with prescription drugs and this one has some scary side effects. Bizarre hallucination-type dreams and even some possible waking psychosis. I'm frankly scared to try it.

Just got back from Henry Rollins. It was amazing. Although those words hardly do it justice. It was THREE HOURS of Rollination. *happy sigh*

Sleep time now.

Hmmm...ambivalent I guess. Looks like about 99% sure that this company has gone down...no pay for last month...no pay looking likely either.

I'll be fine, can luckily live without my paycheck for a few months, no problems. Only bad thing is I'm not gonna have internet access, which means no Watch.

I'll manage a sporadic access, via the GF's work and internet cafes. I'll do my best to make it enough to play P3.0, (it will be enough[/i]) but no guarantees. I'll probably be here 'til Monday, but I'm expecting that to be my last day.

It won't be for more than a few months, 'til I get another job, but I'm not gonna start looking until december, so I should be back premanently, (one way or another) by February latest, by which time I'll have read FR too. :D

And it'll give everybody a chance to catch up to my post count. ;)

So, after Monday, I'll see you when I see you folks. ;)

I knew you said this may be coming, you gave me what, three weeks advanced warning of the possibility? But still...
