You mean you're not really the Ur-Odinson? Whew. I was worried you'd finally tracked me down after failing to kill me in Kentucky.

I normally go by the name of Deadman on other boards.
But I wanted to have a name that was sorta in the fashion of SRD world.

So combining Ur-Lord and Deadman I came up with Ur-Dead. Which descibes my real life condition. I'm right now in between heart attacks. First one in 99 and second in 2002 but the meds and diet change has prolong my health abit.

Gad what would I give to get some real hurtloam..

PS.. didn't sound right if I used Lordman, Lord Dead, Ur-man. or even Dead Lord.
What's this silver looking ring doing on my finger?

My name came into being via Julie of the Fantasy Bedtime Hour. I was working the camera and my name is Jenn. She called me Cameraman Jenn and that was that. :P

My name became Bloodguard Bob via Heatherly of the Fantasy Bedtime Hour.
He could have been known as Bloodguard #7 or Bloodguard with Chuck Taylor All-Stars but he had a sticker on his shirt which said "Hello, my name is BOB."

Ur Dead, I'm disappointed. I thought for sure you were a Grateful Dead fan, though your avatar didn't really hint at it. Oh well, a guy can dream.

My name, earthbrah, does actually stem from the Chronicles in a sort of roundabout way. There's a story...

I first read the Chronicles back in 2002 while living in Windhoek, Namibia. (Believe it or not, I read the Second Chronicles first.) I was enthralled with the names Rockbrother, Earthbrother used by the giants. So, I started using these with select friends of mine in my cross oceanic communications. Brother became brah rather quickly, and I became the earthbrah (just another of the many nicknames that have been given to me over the years).

Then, a couple years later one of those select friends and I were in Lexington, VA. We went to see Doc Watson at the Theatre at Lime Kiln. When the show was over, I turned to buddy and said, "Hey Bucke, this place fockin' kilns." And so, the greeting and salutation of honor amongst some of my friends was born: Hailkilnearthbrah.

I have since lost the nickname of earthbrah; it's just used as a tag of honor in general nowadays.

Another thing: Sir Regal Mookbekistan. See, my main nickname is Mook, short for Mookie. (That's another story, one which I won't bespeak at present.) Virtually any version that you can think of with this nickname has been used over the years. Most currenlty since I now live in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, a friend has added Mookbekistan to the ever growing list. And that avatar picture is of George Gurdjieff, a rascal sage who once lived in this region.

Ok, enough about myself. (Oh, one more thing!)

Greetings...

Thanks, Earthbrah, for the interest in my name.

Ouronos, in accordance to Greek Mythology, is the First Father. Interestingly enough, he was one of the First Creators, but was in turn created by his first consort.

Ouronos was the first consort to Gaea.

Ouronos, as the First Father, was slain by Chronos, who in turn was slain by Zeus.

As Gaea is The Earth, Ouronos is The Sky - that thing which surrounds the earth... seperate yet together.

Ouronos - First Father and Creator.

Until that time...

Greetings...

Well, keep in mind that while Cronos "slew" Ouronos, Ouronos still exists. One of the advantages of being First is being Eternal, I guess.

Even being castrated with a stone sickle only slowed him down just a tad.

In the case of the All Father, one can only say...

Who'se your grand-daddy?! ;)

Aule = one of the Valar, who created Dwarves and a bunch of other cool stuff
-liel = daughter of
I like making/creating/etc. stuff. Aule is male, and I'm not, so I added "daughter of" to be anatomically correct.
Need I add that I'm also a Tolkien fan?

I'm "A Gunslinger" because all the best character names from SRd were taken. So i liberated a reference to Roland of Gilead (DT) as my watch moniker!

Big fan of the vegetable. Spelled it wrong. Too late to fix it now.

"... into the infinity before Time was made came the Creator like a worker into his workshop. And since it is the nature of creating to desire perfection, the Creator devoted all himself to the task."

A Workshop Creation is simply combined by the first quote of Lord Tamarantha to the Ur-Lord about the Legend of the Earth's Creation.

Now, my parents were similar to the Creator. They desired perfection, and devoted themselves to me, but in the end, flaws must be made to create a perfect creation (also said by the gaddhi when he tells of his act of creation). It's like a perfect circle.

Wow.

Your parents appear to have done a good job.

Nice choice.
