OK, I'm cookie dough. I'm not done baking. I'm not finished becoming whoever the hell it is I'm gonna turn out to be. I make it through this, and the next thing, and the next thing, and maybe one day I turn around and realize I'm ready. I'm cookies. And then, you know, if I want someone to eat m-... or enjoy warm, delicious cookie me, then, that's fine. That'll be then. When I'm done.Wyldewode wrote:Training? *raises eyebrow*
However, I'm not in the oven yet, and if someone has a cookie cutter

Hey The Todd, remember when this thread was about TV shows that didn't age well?
"There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." - PJ O'Rourke

"I believe there are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations." - James Madison

Some things really are timeless. I had the pleasure of seeing sort of a "best of" of The Electric Company", and that really was as good as I remembered it.Wyldewode wrote:A lot of what I remember as being cool when I was little is now less than thrilling.
"Zoom" on the other hand......

The Electric Company strikes me as being timeless.

The funny thing about it is that TEC is so firmly rooted in the '70s, but it still resonates.

I still like to watch Power Rangers every now and then for the sheer camp value of it. However, the idea of the show and the language used in it just didn't age well.
That and the show was an attempt at racist and sexist subliminal programming:
The guy of Irish Ancestry is the Green Ranger,
The guy of Native American Ancestry is the Red Ranger,
The girl of Asian Ancestry is the Yellow Ranger,
the guy of African Ancestry is the Black Ranger,
the girl of no known pedigree is the Pink Ranger,
and the guy of no known pedigree is the Blue Ranger.
(The real reason for the cult? Amy Jo Johnson)
