Alton Brown and his hot self..... (Food Network)

Post by Reisheiruhime »

He does Good Eats on the Food Network. I watch him every night.... *sigh... wah, my teenage girl crush is on a middle-aged cook with such adorable hair...*

Which brings to point: Who's everyone else's cheffy crush? Come on, you have to have one. And because this is the Internet, a safe and anonymous place, you can all be honest and say that it's really Emeril....

*chirp...chirp*

Or not.

Now you're talking, missy! I love Alton Brown, especially his rants and raves on his website. But, I find him cute as well and Paul enjoyed the supposed 'scientific' approach of Good Eats, even though he says his theory is more often sightly wrong than not.

But...who cares... :swoon:

Oh Don...the horror.

I am sick to death of the overexposed little...uh, she gets on my nerves and she publishes recipes in her cook book she admits she hasn't even tried.

:::overexposed:::

Giada DeLaurentis? Dino (I think?) DeLaurentis' granddaughter? She's one hot chef. And her food is good too.

Eurch... My dad says that my stepmother reminds him of her.... it's quite distasteful. :?

I like the guy that hosts Ham on the Street... He's sort of... charming, one might say.

But really, it's just more fun to watch dear Alton... Gods, I'm going to end up like the fridge fairy's alter ego... the one that was some kind of Misery stand in with the potato farmer husband....

It's weird. It's like I learn more when I have an attractive male teacher. I mean, how else would I have been able to cook calamari? Creepy.

The most recent UK fanciable (though I've never got it, maybe it's a food fetishy thing) chef is Nigella Lawson....

I posted this elsewhere, once upon a tv food show (alas but once!), Padma Lakshmi hosted....

Oh...I love Nigella Bites.

But, considering I live in a culture that's as far removed from the UK as you can get, I am such an anglophile...

But then, I also love Paula Dean...

Bumping this up to say I adore Mr. Brown as well. Where else can your learn about the Maillard reaction except by watching Good Eats? And how often do you see a nutritional anthropologist but in Mr. Brown's kitchen? And as someone pointed out, he hosts the highly entertaining version of Iron Chef America. I watch him every chance I can. . . :shifty:

Without a doubt, Alton is my crush! I am surprised (but happy, I might be normal after all) that others feel the same way!
