I just don't invite them.Starkin wrote:Hmmm, I really don't feel embarrassed by anything I listen to, now or then, especially the 80's. If people don't like my taste in music they can get out of my car or leave my apartment.

Absolutely humiliating.
I'd agree with that, these days. I like what I like, and I don't much care what others think of it (though that doesn't stop people...er...'offering their opinions'). I won't disparage anyone else's taste in music either, on the condition that they genuinely like it. Anyone who's posing or following a trend is fair game for a scornful tirade.Starkin wrote:Hmmm, I really don't feel embarrassed by anything I listen to, now or then, especially the 80's. menolly. the Osmonds were great singers, but even more amazing musicians. feel no shame! Crazy Horses is an incredible song.Menolly wrote:Love the Pet Shop Boys.
I know sarge is with me on this, but my most embarrassing love?
(entire album)
A reunion special? No, I didn't even know there was one. Was it on cable? I don't have cable...It could all end tomorrow,
and where would I be?
Does life go on
or will it be the end of me?
Seems a bit unfair
to think that all I've learned and done
belongs to no one.
Why should I cherish living
if there's no so called plan?
Why, I would have no future
if it were left to man.
I can't believe that we just happened
and don't know what for.
There must be more.
Why should I trust in a love
that I can't have forever?
Does it seem right
to live a game of take-away?
Should I want for children
if there isn't any more for them to live for?
Maybe I'm a pessimist - then
maybe I'm not.
One thing that I'd like to know
is what I've got.
I don't want a miracle
or to see you in the air,
but are you up there?
Are you everywhere?
Do you really care?
Are you up there?
Count me in on the Roxette as well. . . and the NIN as well. I listen to Rob/White Zombie. . . but only when it's on the radio.thefirst wrote:Guilty here too CailCail wrote:Roxette.

She's a really big on Santana, John Prine, Train, the Goo-Goo Dolls, and anything from the Matrix soundtracks. She likes some of the BBKing I listen to, but usually just the songs that she knows I've sung to her when she was a baby.Menolly wrote:Sounds like thefirst's Mini-me has terrific taste in guitarists...
I'm not a big Santana fan, but he is, to my layman's ears, a damn good guitarist. I like a bit of Train too, mainly Mississippi (though also Respect, which strangely reminds me of Dogstar...)thefirst wrote:She's a really big on Santana, John Prine, Train, the Goo-Goo Dolls, and anything from the Matrix soundtracks.
