Fist,
So we have someone with some borderline-superhuman abilities and at physical peak, against a human near the peak with an intimate and deadly knowledge of fighting skills; both are veteran and highly experienced and driven fighters and tacticians. I think it'd be a damned good fight, even without Batman's vaunted "prep time," and a close one. Not the landslide for Captain America that you would predict.

LM: stop ignoring me.
Cap is not a human any more. he is superhuman and could take out any human fighter you bring.
now I believe batman could defeat a brawler like Luke Cage. Luke relies on his strength and invulnerability too much. Bats could dodge him long enough to come up with a plan.

null,
Negative. According to the official Marvel bio, Captain America "experienced a time when he was augmented to superhuman levels, but generally performed just below superhuman levels for most of his career." He isn't superhuman. Batman is a comparable fighter; Cap is stronger. I also think Batman is a smarter fighter, and as a result, Cap's edge in strength would effectively be canceled out.Cap is not a human any more. he is superhuman and could take out any human fighter you bring.

well they changed that then.
from Wiki...
Captain America has no superhuman powers, although as a result of the Super-Soldier serum and vita-ray treatment, he is transformed from a frail young man into a "perfect" specimen of human development and conditioning. Captain America's strength, endurance, agility, speed, reflexes, and durability are at the highest limits of natural human potential. Captain America's strength was further enhanced for a time after receiving The Viper's poison and antidote in Captain America #157-158, but the effects were only temporary. It has been established that Rogers' body regularly creates the super-soldier serum; it does not wear off.
The formula enhances all of his metabolic functions and prevents the build-up of fatigue poisons in his muscles, giving him endurance far in excess of an ordinary human being. This accounts for many of his extraordinary feats, including bench pressing 1100 pounds (500kg) , running a mile (1.6 km) in little more than a minute. Furthermore, his enhancements are the reason why he was able to survive being frozen in suspended animation for decades. Rogers is also unable to become intoxicated by alcohol and is immune to many diseases, as he also heals faster than normal.
Mentally, Rogers' battle experience and training make him an expert tactician and an excellent field commander, with his teammates frequently deferring to his orders in battle. Rogers' reflexes and senses are also extraordinarily keen. He is a master of multiple martial arts, including boxing, jujutsu, aikido, and judo, combined with his gymnastic ability into his own unique fighting style with advanced pressure-point fighting. Years of practice with his indestructible shield make it practically an extension of his own body, and he is able to aim and throw it with almost unerring accuracy. His skill with his shield is such that he can attack multiple targets in succession with a single throw by use of ricochets, or even cause a boomerang-like return from a throw to attack an enemy from behind. He is extremely skilled in hand-to-hand combat, sometimes taking on and defeating foes whose strength, size, or other powers greatly exceed his own. In the comics, he is regarded by other skilled fighters as one of the best hand-to-hand combatants in the Marvel Universe.
Rogers has vast U.S. military knowledge and is often shown to be familiar with ongoing, highly-classified Defense Department operations. He is an expert in combat strategy, survival, acrobatics, military strategy, piloting, and demolitions. Despite his high profile as one of the world's most popular and recognizable superheroes, Rogers also has a broad understanding of the espionage community, largely through his ongoing relationship with S.H.I.E.L.D. He occasionally makes forays into mundane career fields, including commercial arts, comic book artistry, education (high school history) and law enforcement.
I still give it to Cap in a walk. Bats will get tired.

I note no one argues that Wolverine could beat Lobo.

I could still see that going either way. If neither knew the other, and Lobo punched Wolverine into next Tuesday, Wolverine could get up, and slice Lobo's heart out. Or, as you said, Lobo could rip Wolverine's skin off his body. heh. Yeah, great fight when Lobo beat Superman. And when Braniac beat Lobo. And when Lobo beat the rest of L.E.G.I.O.N. And on and on.
Lobo was tons of fun for a while there!!!

Yeah, Lobo is the main man!
There is a problem with your theory though. Lobo can't die, and Wolverine can. Don't get me wrong though. If Lobo could die, I would call it a 50/50 shot and leave it there. I am a Wolverine fan as well, after all.

Ummm, correct me if I'm mistaken, but I think he manipulates matter and time, and is super-human in all measureable stats.

According to Marvel Directory:
So yeah, pretty much the standard 'annoyingly omnipotent' character.Marvel Directory creator person wrote:STRENGTH LEVEL: Since Apocalypse can increase his strength by drawing on outside energy sources, his strength is potentially incalculable.
KNOWN SUPERHUMAN POWERS: Apocalypse is a mutant who possesses superhuman strength which he can augment by psionically drawing on outside energy sources. Apocalypse can alter the atomic structure of his body at will in order to change his form. He can even increase his size by taking on additional mass from a presumably extra-dimensional source. Through his ability to alter his form, Apocalypse can give himself virtually any superhuman physical power. Apocalypse's "costume" is actually part of his body, and he can psionically alter its appearance at will. He can levitate himself telekinetically.
Apocalypse has an extraordinarily long life span that has already lasted thousands of years. He can survive for weeks without food or water and can rapidly recover from injuries that would prove fatal to normal human beings. In the future, however, his physical form will eventually grow too aged and enfeebled to contain his vast superhuman energies. Hence, he will transfer his consciousness and powers into a succession of host bodies, abandoning each one when it too grows too old to contain his power.
