Batman vs. Ironman?
www.mtv.com/movies/news/articles/1586505/story.jhtml
Though the article is quite amusing it's full of flawed assumptions.
Then again we're talking about fictitious characters influenced by a variety of different writer/artists over the years.
I'm a Batman fan. I was before I began collecting comics and was then introduced to Ironman but if those two characters ever came to blows there would be two quick impacts. Ironman hitting Batman and Batman hitting the floor.

Gonna have to disagree on this one. I see this battle as fairly even. Batman has gadgets that could undoubtedly disrupt Iron Man's suit's doo-dads. He would be fairly helpless at that point... I mean Batman defeated Superman in the Dark Knight stuff, and Superman could annihilate Iron Man...
It's all about Batman's abilities on a strategic level. Bruce is a thinker, Stark is a doer. My money is on the Bats.

Maybe its because I own and have read every IM comic but to be fair to the character I think IM/Stark has litterally seen it all and has planned for it all. EMP included. I've said this for years, a Batman Superman battle can't exist without Superman's code of ethics. Otherwise (with superspeed, xray vision, and super strength) Superman turns Batman, his intelligence, his gadgets and his body into liquid in less than 1/100th of second. The Godzilla vs. Bambi scenerio played out for only high speed cameras to capture.

Batman's a whack job. His paranoia is so legendary that it's assumed he has 'gadgets' that'll take down Iron Man, even though there's no evidence that IM needs be taken down. Batman could not possibly need to fight IM, but no doubt he's prepared for that eventuality, because apparently all he does with his time is brood about good guys turning bad, and he should know something about that, because that is essentially what he is, a good guy gone bad. I've been reading Batman for over 30 years now, and it never ceases to amaze me just how bad he's become. Every successive writer seems to drag him to new lows; as if, upon realizing they're dealing with a regular guy who has no real chance against his chosen enemies, they give him super-paranoia, super-strategy, super-sleep deprivation.....they spend so much time trying to convince me he's tough enough to survive his occupation, there's no opportunity left for character development. The All-Star Batman has taken this to new levels, too. If anything, Robin is even more bloodthirsty, and almost killed Green Lantern in the latest issue, just because he didn't like the fact that GL was, in his estimation, too soft. I believe that, despite all of this, Superman and the rest of the Justice League allow Batman to operate, and keep him in hteir team, because they see the good he's trying to do, and they hope that through friendship they can somehow get him to overcome his own personal issues.
But Iron Man isn't in the League, and I'm sure he would treat an unprovoked attack the same as if it came from the Mandarin (who has died at least twice fighting Iron Man), or Dr. Doom, the Living Laser, the Melter, Thanos, Whiplash, Crimson Dynamo, Titanium Man, Count Nefaria, etc., all of whom he has defeated repeatedly.
You see Batman as a thinker and Iron Man as a doer? That's ridiculous. Tony Stark, like Bruce Wayne, inherited a fortune. What has Wayne done with his? Well, there are those fancy parties he attends, and he has been generous with charities, but honestly, I don't see him focusing too much on his corporation, other than in the Val Kilmer Batman movie. Tony Stark, on the other hand, has always ran Stark International, and quite literally is the brains behind SI, always thoroughly involved with R&D, and has invented tons of things other than the dozens of Iron Man armors. The man's a weapons designer, for crying out loud. He was so good at it, that when he branched out from it SHIELD got all upset and tried to buy him out. Now he heads SHIELD. He's gone a bit overboard with the whole Registration thing, but he's always known it wasn't a perfect thing, and even now he's trying to improve it. That's because he's a thinker.
And then there's Iron Man's Extremist capabilities. Without them, he was capable of beating the Hulk. With them, he's freaking scary. If Batman were to attack him, it'd be a short fight, and Batman would be the loser. If Batman were to somehow find a way to compromise Iron man's armor, and defeat him, then Batman would have, in effect, declared war against the US defense department, the Avengers, and the Illuninati, which means the Defenders, Inhumans, and Fantastic Four would also be chasing him down. No, if Batman were a thinker, he'd stay far, far away.
