Thanks for trying to cheer me up, dAN...

I already have that one on DVD and CD -- the concert from the Omni in Atlanta that keeps being repackaged for sale. Gives the impression that it was the only show the Police had ever given or filmed in their career, or that somehow it was the only one worth releasing. The concert I taped was one that took place earlier at Le Forum, Montreal. I prefer that show.

Yeah, there's all kinds of things I would rather do differently. I mean... if there wasn't, how would you ever learn? Are ya'll (and I mean YOU Avatar, this isn't the first time this has come up) saying that... somehow... you experience negative consequences of your decisions, and that changes your future decisions through the process of 'learning' yet somehow don't experience regret? Like... if you started running on ice and broke your back falling over, you would not say to yourself "Wow, I wish I hadn't run on that ice!" and instead say "Wow! I wouldn't change it for the world!"

Put it this way (speaking for myself, at least): I'm a product of my experiences. I'm reasonably content with who I am; I wouldn't change myself (except to be less lazy, but that's something I was born with), and therefore I wouldn't change the events that have made me this way.

Also, I regret pouring Pr0n into the world. I also regret becoming Juan Valdez, skyweir, danlo, and to some extent Neil Young.

I'm sure that if I broke my back running on ice (No ice here...lets say falling off a mountain

) I would wish I hadn't done it. But, like Cj said, the negative consequences of my decisions are part of what made me what I am, and I'm happy with the way I am. I like it.

Oh, there may be a couple of things I would do differently, if I had it to do over and remembered what I'd done before, but that doesn't make me regret that I didn't. I didn't, and that's all there is to it. It doesn't bother me.

Me too. Everything bad that's happened to me (so far) has turned out to augment my overall wholeness. My anorexia deeply influenced my writing, and my stories would never have had their edge without that experience. The same goes for this current bout of insomnia. I can work my ass off now and on less sleep, and the lack of sleep also makes me less aware of my body, which is a great reliever of stress. I guess there's a light and dark to every event that happens to you. It's a big equation, and the remainder isn't always pain and sorrow.

About two years ago, I think. And I did get it from Ebay. Heh, I'd be highly amused to find I bought it from you. Especially since it took bloody ages to arrive.
