the Google Button

Post by Vain »

there's a Google button on the main index. If you click on it, you can setup a thingy on google that enables you to read the last 9 posts (I think the default is 9) while you're in Google :)

Maybe useful for those of you that browse from work and Google is OK but forums and stuff aren't.

Try it out and let me know what you think :)

Any chance you could add a plain RSS feed button (Image) for those who use other methods than google for their feeds?
(I already worked out how to get it myself, but it'd be convenient for other people.)

(Although it looks like the feed only sends the last three posts by default; it can be changed on google to nine, but I'm not sure about other applications.)

I'm not that sure how the google thingy works but I have added the RSS feed button - great suggestion Murrin :) You can subscribe to the feed if you want. I'm not sure if everybody know how feeds work but erm don't ask me bcos I'm trying to figure it out myself.

If I think about it, I can now check KW content via my mobile phone...hmmm...I need to check that :)

Pure awesomeness.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

I use a computer for bill paying, news, music, and porn.

WTF is RSS?

OK. For the geeks among us, I have been messing around with the google gadgets and put this together

www.ihugny.com

you can embed this in whatever site you have or simply have it as part of your igoogle page

If you're interested in doing any of this in any way shape or form then let me know because you can also customise what forums you want shown, total posts, length of messages etc etc

OK...I think it's cool but then again, I'm too geeky for my own good :)

Vain's too geeky for his -- :7up:

Seriously, it's awesome. Both from a geeky standpoint and a work-computers-don't-like-forums point of view.
