Today is Take Yer Kid to Work Day. Our law firm does a program for the kids every year, so they don't spend the day tearing around the firm, disrupting the folks who are actually working. I volunteered to supervise the kids for an hour, and got assigned to sit in on their "computer training" class. One girl just couldn't sit still and couldn't shut up -- and then she proclaimed, "I had a Coke for lunch!" Really? I never would have guessed!

The kids are currently wrapping up their day at an ice cream social, to which we volunteers were also invited. I thought about going...and then I thought about a roomful of tired kids, hopped up on sugar...and then I bought a bag of pretzels from the junk machine instead.

I've had a productive day of work and playing aunty to a 10 month old (which is hard work!).
Now I am getting really frustrated with an application form I am trying to fill in. So tedious!

I don't know what it is, but you seem happy, and that's makes me happy for you.Loremaster wrote:Something incredible has happened to me . . .

After much ado, I finally have a job interview! My old company has an opening, and my old director called me about it. We talked about the hypotheticals, even salary (and she told me she'd "love to have you back"). However, I have to have a formal interview. It's at 2:00pm, and hopefully it won't be too painful. I hate job interviews, but at least I know that I can ace this one.

So after that remains the process of moving my things and finding a new place.

I'm going to be one busy girl, so I may not be around much over the next few days.

I've been drinkin LOTS and LOTS of water and lemonaide and Orange juice.Cameraman Jenn wrote:Yes, front seat...Sorry you feel sick Balon, drink lots of fluids.

At least they have the right colors, if a bit mistaken on the shades...
