How do you feel today?

Get well soon, Auleliel!
I had a really good weekend..its springtime!! The world is getting greener every day, the birds are singing (the nightingales even 24 hours
)
the flowers explode and the sun shines
(I already got a little sunburn)
and i stayed with the ponies the whole time
seems as if all the long wintertime is forgotten within a few days

Damn. I've had about the roughest 18 hours or so I could imagine. As y'all know I'm down at my uncles place, and was planning on leaving this week.
Unfortunately, my uncle had what appears to be a massive heart attack at about 2am, and despite immediate CPR from his paramedic son, (who happened to be spending the weekend here on a break from university), he was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
*shakes head* A real bolt from the blue. No hint at all. So I'm gonna be here for a few more weeks, trying to organise things and make plans about what'll happen with my cousins etc. Hell of a day.
He went on a high note though, we had a great weekend, his son was here for the only time he would be for the whole year, Mel and I were here...it was the best possible combination of circumstances (if there can be a best in such an event). A week later and it would only have been his 17-yr old daughter and his girlfriend here alone.
Still...hell of a shock. *sigh*

So sorry, Av.

I hope you, Mel, and your uncle's family will be alright. I will be sending positive thoughts in your direction, Avatar. Best wishes.
I was sent home from work this morning. My workmates are very concerned. They said that I have lost alot of weight - that I am looking very sick. I took yestderday off, and had hoped to come to work this week. Well, I am home now. I haven't been able to sleep much the last few days - and I have almost constant nauseau. Been eating every two days, and then only a slice of toast. I had thought it was the new medication I am on, but it appears to be a virus, as my boss told me another coworker has the same symtoms as well.
Just going to lie in bed all day, now.

Av - that's pretty nuts, man. I'm sorry. Only positive vibes and zen hugs to you guys.
Lore - Sorry you're so sick. Try to keep down some fluids. Orange juice and what not. I always added a little cinnamon to my toast, and it makes it easier to eat.
As for me, I'm feeling good. Still a little sick, but I'm FINNALY done with the work week, so I have a few days off now. THANK god.

Lore, slowly sip some ginger ale. Ginger has a calming effect on the stomach. That might help you get some food down.
I feel good. I just went crazy posting some of my sunset pictures on the photography thread for Lurch and Moose pics for me and his fanclub. I also was inspired on my walk from the bus stop to home to do something nice for someone that I care about because I know she was feeling down. I hope it makes her smile. I was walking by a florist shop and they had some lovely sunflowers so I got a bunch and a vase and put it together with a note that said, "Just wanted to bring a little sunshine to your day." Then I got home, grabbed one of my Moon picture prints and tucked it in the envelope and wrote, "P.S. Here's a little moonshine too!" and left them so she will find them when she gets home. Life is always best when you make a practice of telling those you care about that you care in each and every way you can.

I'm feeling frantic. I have to teach in less than 9 hours, and still have no lesson plan. I am still feeling under the weather, and am likely to feel worse in the morning after staying up all night to write the lesson plan (we have to write it in a very stupid format that takes hours longer than the actual planning process). I have to perform--in front of people I don't know--a song I am not confident about on the viola tomorrow afternoon, and prepare a presentation for Wednesday on a topic I am not very knowledgeable about. And it is supposed to snow here tonight or tomorrow. So overall, I feel the opposite of good. But it could always be worse.
