Batman could beat the entire LSH with one hand behind his back. If he had three days prep. :)

You say this, in the middle of a ridiculous diatribe laden with praises for what you consider Batman's invincibility. So, for your own mental health, I think I'm going to attempt to merge this thread into the 'let's talk crossover' thread, only to prove Batman cannot stop me!

Holy merged thread, Batman; you failed!

AHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's an excellent book dealing with the flaws in Batman's strategies concerning the taking down of superheroes (originally presented in JLA 43-46):

I am so glad you brought up Tower of Babel, dAN (I was about to myself). It certainly demonstrates the moral flaws of Batman's personal philosophy, but to my mind, Babel demonstrates perfectly why it is all but impossible, even for someone like Iron Man, to take Batman down, especially given prep time.

Prep time is constantly mocked by those who revile the Batman, yet Babel and The Dark Knight Returns, among other titles, demonstrate that it's no joke. He's seriously ready for anything.

Besides, Tony Stark is the poor rich man's Bruce Wayne.

I have no problem with Batman winning so often because of using the 6-P system. The greatest power, weapon, tool, or anything else is the brain. The Batman uses his much better than anyone else. He's the World's Greatest Detective, after all, and knowing who you're likely to face in the course of your upcoming activities is not remotely out of line.

The problem is that Iron Man is, in the area of this kind of technology, a genius far beyond Batman. His armor has components and systems Batman could never even guess exist, much less create counters for. How many times has someone hit Iron Man with some device that neutralizes this, or erases that. But the armor has backups, alternate methods, etc, etc, etc. No way is Batman definitely going to win if he has prep time. I'm not saying he'll definitely lose, but he won't definitely win.

3-D Man would want to die, knowing you're his only fan, and seeing the fates of other comic characters who share that sad misfortune of his. On the other hand, 3-D Man is expected to be a major player in the upcoming Secret Invasion summer crossover thing, which should garner him some more fans, allowing him a temporary repreive from the Null Zone. In other words, Shade the Changing Man will just have to play solitaire for a few more years until he gets a poker pal.

Why all this petty bickering? We all know the Batman can and will kick everybody else's butt if they're stupid enough to get in his grille! Face it, everybody fears the Batman! In fact, I hear the Hulk was originally going to sign with DC, but he was too scared of having a fight with the Batman, so he signed with Marvel, because he felt he could beat all those wimpy heroes they have.

Here's another point I'm forced to make. If you say Batman will find a way to beat Iron man, I will just come back and say something like "Uh...Iron man would find a way to beat Batman...so there! Nyah Nyah, Nyah Nyah Nyah!
 Fair enough.

That cover raises the burning question "What is 15 times zero?".
