I also pictured Mel in a pastel yellow summer dress with tiny lavendar flowers on it, lounging on a picnic blanket reading a book with one hand and twirling a parasol in the other. She was on the sprawling lawn just past the flower gardens by the duck pond at the front of the hedge maze. I have a seriously vivid imagination.

Ill. I am. It has been going around where I work, and I seem to be the latest victim. Lotsa snot, coughing and achyness. I hate it. I decided to go to work today, but after I got out of bed, I regretted that decision. I probably still should have called in, but I didn't. I'm managing, but it ain't pretty. And there is so much pressure in my head, my ear is having problems too.

Oh, I forgot to add that I slept for 14 hours yesterday, with the only break in between being a bathroom break or two and a call into work saying I won't be in. And then I went to bed at 8pm and slept until about 8am this morning.

Good luck, Magick! :cross:

Heh, a customer just gave me all kinds of dirt on the general location of my workplace. I have not been able to confirm any of it, so it's possible he made it all up, though he did say he got it from a professor. Whether or not any of it is true, it is still the first entertaining thing that has happened this week. Though I did know that the building I work in is built on a cemetery; the headstones are a dead giveaway. :P

GAH!

Ok. So this guy calls at 11:45 and says his car is making a funny noise. He insists that we look at it tonight. He brings the car in at 1:00. I had told him on the phone that I could probably look at it tonight but I might not be able to get it fixed tonight. He starts in on me right off the bat. When can you look at it? And I tell him, " I am going to have Steve look at it when he is done with the alignment he is working on." The guy starts looking around the shop and he points to Igor and says, "What about that guy, why can't he look at it?" I tell him, "Because Steve will be doing the work so I would rather have him do it and I have other things I need for Igor to do." Then the guy actually yells out to Igor, "Hey guy, can you drive my car to listen for a noise?" and I am standing in the office door thinking (WTF). Igor shouts back, "It's up to boss, ask Jennifer." so I give in and say, "Ok fine, Igor drive the car." and then they get back and Igor tells me it's a noise from the brakes. The guy is looming around like a vulture watching every move of my techs through the window waiting for a lift to open so he can start insisting we look at the car again. Steve gets done and I ask him to look at the car. We find that the right front caliper bolt is missing and the anti rattle clips on the left front brakes are all messed up. I make some calls while the guy is vulturing and find the part and order them. I tell him it's going to take an hour or so for parts to get here and then he's all like, "I'll go pick them up, wouldn't that make it faster?" and I am like, "Dude, your car is all apart on the lift." and he's like "What if I take a cab?" and I snapped. I got all like, "Look. I am doing my best and I will try to get your car done tonight but I also have a shop full of people who are waiting for their cars who were ahead of you and had appointments. I will most likely get yours done tonight but I can't do it instantly." and he looks at me as though I am a freaking NUT CASE and says, "Geez lady, chiiilll out." and give me the "what is your freaking problem menstrual psycho bitch" look.

Dang. Av. That place is gorgeous. I take it the hedge maze is under those trees along with the polo field and the croquet lawn?

I had a second date with a very attractive and interesting woman last night. We went to see Indiana Jones at an IMAX cinema, then caught a cab back to my apartment and sat until 1AM chatting while drinking wine and eating cheese. Hoping I can get a third date by the weekend.
