I don't think so, though certainly he or she would have been aware of the utterance. I believe it would require an positive action to invoke a summoning, rather than a mere mention of the name.

But don't we speak of a terrible event as being a 'harrowing ordeal'? I think the name is meant to invoke a being who won't just slightly disturb the surface, but who will indeed go much deeper.Ur Dead wrote: The Insequents names is a bit difficult to intepert except for the Theomach.
The Harrow is an implement for cultivating the surface of the soil. Or in this particular case, The Land? Any deeper would have turn the Harrow into a Plow.

But for all that, I doubt the battles between Foul and the Lords would have really inetrested the Insequent..
And it seems that the fight between Elena and the reincarnated Kevin had little effect - Foul was still defeated - it's of scant interest to the Insequent if the People of the Land lost Elena..
Sure it may have been 'nice' if they showed up and stopped Elena ressurecting Kevin, or even prevented Kevin from the Ritual of Desecration, but they had nothing to gain from it, it didn't do anything to bring about the distruction of the earth, so why should they be bothered?
If the DID do that, and were heeded, we probably wouldn't have had a book to read in the first place.. It's be like oh, 'back in the old days there was this guy Kevin something who almost killed us all but this wise guy stepped in and told him not to and things have been peachy ever since'.
Why is it that the arch wont be destroyed if the 3 Laws are there, Life, Death, and Time. But the Elohim and the Insequent didn't care at all until we are up to the last Law before the Arch crumbles?

I think it's interesting to remember that the new SoL is Vile-spawn in structure... this could explain why the Harrow would want it, he might be able to do something with it based on his knowledge of all things Vile... he could also just destroy it and then use the white gold for his purposes
Also, I think the Guardian's attribute of binding with whomever defeats it is a built in characteristic to always assure that there will be a Guardian... and also so that it can learn from its defeat and not repeat that mistake.
