Thanks?

Post by Auleliel »

What is this "Thanks" thing that I see under everyone's avatars? I have seen no announcements about it, and I am confused.

The idea stemmed from THIS thread

Thanks for the link--I think I get it now. I don't frequent the Tank much, so that explains how I missed the memo.

It seems like another attempt by Vain to recreate the Watch in his own image. :P -jay

I think it's an awesome idea. :D Pity we can't legislate responsibility...

I think we legislate enough. Let the responsibility be held by the responsible. ;)

*shaking head*

I am not on the Watch my typical 6:00 am to midnight for once, and just look what happens!

yes...in the end...it's not about either Vain's or Jay's image, but is all about me... ;)

Please elaborate Menolly! I can only hope at least that the change is for the better. :D

BTW....Hello to you! :-)

:LOLS: Oh man...it's too long a story. :D Suffice it to say that I at least am fine. :D That job finally went bust. I guess I'm technically employed now, but I'm not working or anything. Or at home for that matter. :D (I suppose I should teporarily change my location...sigh...)

It stills my heart to know that all is well with you, Av. Without the feeling of Kissing a$$ (to late) I always liked you. As much as you run a benevolent dictatorship, at least you dictate in different languages. ;-)

Well I was going to get round to posting this :)

I changed the icon thingy to say: "good post" and I suppose it's essentially there to acknowledge good posts :)

There's no real rules around it but it's NOT a competition of any sort and any complaints /requests will get zapped

I'll change the stuff under the profiles later to say something more relevant (if I remember) :)

Cool. :D And maybe take away the number of times we commend somebody else? Just a suggestion.

Yeah, I agree with Av's suggestion. There's no real need to show the number of thanks you give other people. It just takes up space.

And I agree with those who've said that we could use a SRD slant to the thanks... I think someone else suggested something like an "ak-Haru" ranking.

And the "Good post" button, Vain? Could still use a little work. :P ;) -jay
