I liked it, for a single serving.
But then growing up with salty smoked belly lox on a bagel (and sometimes on a salt bagel to boot!) with cream cheese as a weekly Sunday brunch treat, it wasn't all that different.

Sea mentioned some people eat it on bread with a type of processed cheese similar to American cheese or Velveeta slices. I think I would really enjoy that, myself.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure CovJr was the only one who went back for seconds.
I think you're right about that. I thought about going back for more, but in the end, I didn't.

Bah, unrefined American palates. The delicate tones of salty yeast paste are wasted on you...

Delicate tones? Delicate? How can you hear delicate tones while your salivary glands are still punching your medulla from the onslaught of briny naste overload?

Bah back at you, stuffy British cad. You know very well that I have excellent taste. You have perused the contents of my fridge. Sheesh.

That reminds me, maybe I should have plastic cheese for lunch. Or go to that place next to the laundromat... Hmm...

...groaning...

Oh, you lucky British cad. To get to indulge in Jenn's stroganoff, especially after the flavors had a chance to meld...

Well as they say with Marmite etc...you either love it of hate it:
www.marmite.com/

Personally I agree with Cov - great stuff! Not too keen on vegemite - but its a good enough substitute.
Just yesterday I managed to get a marmite virgin at work to try some...a hater on first lick it seems. But boy is it fun to watch the reactions...

Yeah, Chrys -- between the distilled chicken and the Vegemite tasting, we really missed some choice photo ops....
