Awwww, maaaaaan! Who are they getting to do it, and how soon can I start hating her?

I don't recognize her face, but IMDB says her name is Maria Bello.

You've probably seen her before--her resume goes back 10+ years--but as a blonde. She was Viggo Mortenson's wife in A History of Violence, for one. It's too bad any actress has to take over the part of an established character. Rachel Weisz was Evie.

I'm more annoyed that they're doing another Mummy film. The first was good. The Mummy Returns was one of the worst mainstream films I've seen in the last decade.

I've enjoyed all the Mummy films, though I wouldn't have bought Scorpion King on its own (it was included in a 3 pack with the first two).

(Seriously, she was voted the most beautiful person in the world 10 years ago, and she's still d*** fine, not to mention a great actress. Why aren't they making more noise about her being in it?)

Apparently Rachel Weisz was to be in the movie but she decided she didn't want to be away from her children for the China location shooting. She turned them down. All is forgiven.

I like Maria Bello but, I don't see her in that role!
