Annoyed. Igor's friend and his son are waiting in my office and they are babbling at me nonstop.
Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

Doing great today. Yesterday we went in for Mrs Root's ultrasound - everything looks great on the baby. And it's a girl!!! We're all very excited. Some of the euphoria from yesterday has leaked into today....... :D

Tomorrow though, meh. My wife and I are taking are son to see the Wiggles live show. Not exciting. At all. In fact, the idea is making me faintly nauseous.... :?

However, YOU are not annoying. You are not trying to kill time by making me do estimates on every possible thing that may possibly break on your car. :-x

I feel a little disconnected from the world right now, which is strange because I'm actually being more social than usual. :?

In other news, an old boyfriend contacted me out of the blue. I haven't seen or talked to him in seven years, so I don't know what prompted this. One thing I know: I won't go out with him again, but at least he isn't psycho like my last boyfriend. :P

Oh. . . also, I finally got the email informing me I get health insurance back starting September 1st, so I can go get to the bottom of the mystery ailment I've been fighting for months. :D

I was threatened on the train all the way from work to my suburb - I was very close to being assaulted. Just called the police and have been asked to make a statement.

Mildly annoyed. Someone stole my bin. Now I have to call the council and get them to bring me a new one. It's not a major problem, but it's so...petty. Why would someone steal a bin?

If I had to guess ... my experience is that when a current relationship ends many people's first reaction is to explore (consciously or subconsciously) past relationships. It must seem easier/safer that facing the prospect of finding a completely new one. Of course I am completely unqualified to make this type of statement. :) Good luck with the health insurance. That is too important to be without. [Hey, do you think that in the Land they have Healthsense Insurance?]

However you handled it at the time, congratulations on getting through that situation unscathed!

Precisely! Pirates don't tickle people, even in a naughty sensual way. The run 'em through and do with the corpse what they will. And then they say ARRRRRRRRRGH!

Sheesh. Besmirching a noble profession like pirating...

Glad to hear you are okay. Years ago a good friend of mine feel asleep at the wheel and hit a telephone pole. Despite only going 25-30mph he wasn't wearing a seatbelt and head-butted the windshied pretty hard. Cut his scalp open and slashed his cheek completely through. I am very glad you had more luck (and hopefully more sense to be wearing a seatbelt.)

I feel like shite. I slept like crap. I am hormonal. I feel like someone is beating me in the back with a sledgehammer while there is a demon trying to claw his way out the front of my body. My Saturday is shot. I'm gonna go curl myself into fetal ball position and cry for about an hour over nothing. I am also going to repeat the phrase, "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger about a thousand times."

Sorry about the truck, Mr. Broken -- and sorry about the scumbag on the train, Lore -- and sorry about the missing, trashcan?, CovJr.

Who'd I miss? Oh yeah, Lyr -- huzzah for health insurance! (Healthsense insurance -- hmm... ;) )

This is Magickmaker's last weekend home for the summer. Today, we were supposed to take her car over to Carmax to try to get them to buy it. (She's never gonna learn to drive if it's on a stick-shift -- better to sell this thing and get a heap with an automatic transmission later....) Instead, we played all day -- dropped by her workplace so she could wish a co-worker a happy birthday, shopped a little, played a round of mini-golf (I won by one stroke!), then played three games of bowling (amazingly, I won the first game -- but then, as usual, she cleaned my clock on the last two).

Right now we're waiting for Batty and her girlfriend to get back from the anime convention. The girls' dad picked them up and is driving them back here. Saves me a *lot* of driving -- plus then he gets to see Batty. 8)
